They are launching like the old ones releases , first a schoolar class then a heavy armor class and then an adventurer class. Example: Elementalist , Warrior , Ranger . Now Necromancer , Guardian, the next reveal can be a gunner or assassin then the Mesmer...
Guys, this really makes me belive a specificated Healing Class will be in this game!
1. Ally-target healing skills are weaker, and are basically always AoE.
2. Developers have clearly stated that there won't be a dedicated healer.
3. There is not enough skill-bar customization to make a dedicated healer class plausible.
Actually, there are no ally-targetted skills in GW2. Was mentioned in a german interview with one of the people behind GW2. The second part of what you said sounds correct, though; basically aoe heals, healing circles (like the necro's) that are placed on the ground, auras/boons, etc.
As for the earlier post, there is no dedicated healing class in the game. They're adamant about that. Wanting it isn't going to make it come true. Just let it go.

if you read what they posted early on on their website they said they arn't goin with healing... they are goin with preventing damage to get rid of the "trinity" other games are running... and please for the love of GW2 stop compairing the guardian to a paladin... this is a whole new game with their own unique classes... i understand all classes share a similar background with another class you've played in another game but they were all different in some way, be it minor or major... anyways back to guardian... i see them on being THEE "preventing damage class"... also who doesnt want a tank that can block the attacks and heal while doing it?

That is kind of cool actually! I am interested to see how that plays out in combat!
The Guardian is an interesting class, I have to wait to get home to check the videos though! BML is revealed! Now just need my Mesmer...
Care to explain why do you think that? the graphics are on another level when compared to GW1, especially animations.
Awesome the knockback skill on the Wall of Deflection video...animations are so smooth.
Oh, and the Asura guardian deserves a double post. So much win.
erm.. offical GW2 site not working.
Try reloading the page. Works fine for me.
God make this game awesome so everyone can enjoy something at last.Lol

I'm pretty sure this is because of the loads of people who have heard the news and also want to see the site.
I was dead set on playing a Ranger until now.

Hmmm, you know I was hoping to see them announce a gadgeteer/gunner class but this sounds fairly interesting....

looks to me like the guardian has a little ritualist from gw1 tossed in. seals instead of spirits and such but looks good.
There's no such thing as Paladin in GW, only Wa/Mo.
Resolve—You regenerate health.
Built in Mending FTW!!!
Ready for GW2!!!
looks ok
Gotta love the Hammer of Wisdom also the Wall of Deflection is very cool
Looks amazing. Can you imagine 5 Guardians rotating their buffs, lol.
So far, Ranger, Elementalist, Necro and Guardian looks interesting to play with alot of group abilities.
Warrior looks bland in comparison, just a straight up hack and slash. I wonder how Anet is going to innovate on the Warrior class more.
I lol'd.
Eat me!
:-) cant wait
