F2P worth playing

so im currently playing LoTRo f F2p atm and having lots of fun and i was just wanting to find other good F2P's all input is welcome.

make sure it has

-- good gameplay

-- good/populated community

-- and that it doesnt heavily rely on there online shop

- im open for anyting so any suggestions welcome

Any of the ones in my sig, but only UWO and Wurm have a good community. Mabi is full of weeaboos and Vindictus can be pretty anti-social at times.

Hmmm... you might want to try Atlantica Online... i had a lot of fun there and didn't spend but $5 for a couple extra merc storage rooms that come in handy... also they have a lot of free cash shop events and giveaways... and most cash shop items can also be sold ingame by players so you can buy them for ingame money (not really cheap but...)

im hearing good words for LOTHRO but i havent tried it, its seems the same as vindictus, currently new games have the same style and genre sigh they just changing the name of the game.

DDO - You probably knew that already

EQ2x - You can actually reach the max level without having to purchase content

Perfect World - The quintessential F2P grind game. Can be played for quite awhile without heavy reliance on the cash shop. It's also extremely popular and seems to be of higher quality than the rest of PWI's titles.

Uncharted Waters Online - Feels like a Japanese version of Pirates of the Burning Sea only better.

Zentia,

It is REALLY free to play. They have a lot of fun events and I heard the big expansion in February is going to be awesome. New lands, new monsters and all kinds of new functions. It will be like getting a new game on top of an already great game.

As a producer of Zentia, you forgot to mention that many players quit and are quitting because the staff does nothing about in-game harassment by ONE player and his guild on pvp server and doesn't let others lvl up..and what a "bright" idea to throw in the new expantion and raise lvl cap to 80 ( only few months into Open Beta) so those very bullies can level up even more while the rest of the population are still low lvl being constantly harassed.

Zentia has some major issues on pvp server, just fyi.

You and your lazy gms hide behind the "pvp server" excuse to avoid dealing with legit harassment issues. ( If you call a lvl 70 who came out of ebr and was already 55 by the time open beta came out and who keeps harassing lowbies till they quit) or disbands entire guilds and not letting them lvl or join other guilds- if you call that pvp you need to play some games, cause obviously you lack experience in mmorps and pvp servers in general.

This forum is for players to express their opinions on games, not for Zentia staff to promote their product and argue with people whose opinion on zentia doesn't please you.

So I repeat, in my opinion, Zentia sucks ( unprofessional and rude gms incl. their own producer) ;o) and since the subject was hijacked a lil- I repeat -Try the Power of the Dragon. ;o)

You are mistaken, that is EXACTLY what MMO pvp is all about. Games like WoW have ways to avoid the worst of it but 'griefing' is pvp. I remember trying to play on the pvp server on Asheron's Call. High lvl players were attacking you AS you zone in the game FOR THE FIRST TIME, no joke. The only way to enjoy a game design like this is to do it to other people too. I would say unless you are a kid and used to being picked on by other kids, just don't bother with pvp.

Nah, Zentia harassment has nothing to do with wow pvp or any other open pvp games. I am no kid and I have 10 years experience in mmo's all pvp servers ( Including wow for 6 years on pvp server).

One player and his guild dominating the server and not letting particular people lvl up, disbanding guilds and not letting specific players to join new guilds under the threat of war or exploiting game features and prevents the said players from lvling and getting rewards, resetting their bosses, killing them 20 times in 5 mins ( screenshots are avail.) - isn't pvp that is harassment. He already disbanded a major guild, by killing its players- non-stop and I mean all day long, now he's after another. And since he came out of eba high lvl and has played in chinese version he knows all the bugs, exploits and tricks he harasses players and entire guilds till they quit. Since he doesn't let anyone lvl up only him and his guild are high lvls. There is no where the lower lvls can hide either, they can't go and quest elsewhere..he uses the "find a player" feature and hunts them down all day long. ( bright idea to have such feature in open pvp game..)

So if you haven't played Zentia your opinion doesn't really count. In any normal pvp server there isnt a feature to "find players" whereever they are so the said pker can kill them no matter where they go or what they do ( find players shows where the player is at any given time)..I could go on and on but you really have to play and see what I';m talking about. So I've played enough pvp mmos to differentiate pvp and harassment.

Having played mmo's myself, and for quite a long time, I am on the side of......sneaky on this. I seriously considered playing Zentia but on trying it and doing a lot of research there appears to be several issues that need resolving in-game. I can understand the odd person complaining about being killed/harrassed but it doesnt take much reading to find that it is entire guilds that all have the same issue. I have it downloaded but will wait until these issues (or should I say issue) are resolved.

Anyway, back on topic.....try Champions Online, that has just gone F2P and might be worth a look.

I would have to recommend 2 games that arent on this site. Martial empires and loong. Both of these games are high quality f2p with outstanding graphics and gameplayy. martial empires is a blast.
