I just bought daoc gold...

in Dark Age of Camelot

I saw it for 15$ cdn at EB, so i figure i'd buy it..

can i actually play it? because its just the game and 1 expansion..

 

also do i need a credit card number to just play the 30 trial it comes with?

    You'll probably have a pretty hefty patch to download, but it's playable.

    Yes you will need to Down Load some more game data <Bug fixes and such> and Yes you will need to supply a CC number.  but they won't charge the card untill after the free month so you have time to decide whether you want to pay for the game or not. hope this helps out some.image

    Iv'e found the original game at a very goog price with all the expansions thrown in. I'm considering buying it. What i'd like to know is if i do buy it am i going to be levelling by myself until i reach higher levels, or is there a newer server with lower level alts within it. I prefer to play grouped and with friends than solo

    They will be lauching another server soon.  It will be a special rule server, but they haven't announced which one.

    It depends on what server you pick/realm/time of day you play as to if you will need to solo.  If you play during peak hours on Merlin or Lancelot you should have no problem getting groups at low levels.

    Other servers you might have problems finding a group until you are around 20.  Getting to 20 solo won't take you too long.  Maybe 15 hours in game played.  It will be quicker if you have all of the expansions.  Can probably do it in about 10-12 hours then.
