More portal fun

Standing in the Cache in Evernight tonight with my fellow Calenturians, and something came up in conversation that got me thinking....

If houses can take over actual planes and lay claim to them and tie their strength to the prime (In Rec atleast), why not be able to lock certain portals like the ones to the Caches where the "key" to the portals is the the house crest just likie the armories.  Of course you couldn't lock the portals on the main path so there anyone can still get the house, but like the side rooms that seem to have little purpose, ie. U-Turn and the Curves on Evernight.  This could solve certain storage issues, or make sweet battle posts.  Possibly even change which rooms would be reaping and non-reaping rooms (yeah, that one is a long shot but might give the Kabalists something to do).  Of course, every 24hours there is a heavy cost to the prime for "locks" and non-reaping rooms that are not part of the original layout so some thought is put into the decision like if a House declares war on you or an aspirant-guild.

    If there are at least the same amount of rooms for each of the plains.

    Don't know about anyone else, but one thing I hate about being in OSM in UL, is that they're short one room to store items...all the other houses now have more than one vault/armory. It's a pain, and would be nice if Rec were a bit more balanced.
