A map wouldn't kill this game

I'm not talking about a minimap up in the corner, but at least either let us draw our own maps ingame, and preferably sell them, or buy from vendor or something. So that we could get some orientation.
Although I'm actually surprised at how fast I can run from one end to the other, it still takes some time.
And I never use third party anything, I allways look at what the developers and the game itself provides - having to go to some other unofficial site, expecially when we know that goldseller love to hack fansites to get passwords and hackers like to place malware on sites and addons, is not something I like to do, and it's an inconvenience for the player.
And the "go to nearest shrine" feature when you die is messed up Imo. I thought I'd get to the nearest priest, insted I ended up halfway across the world, no idea where to go. could have used a map then really.
I don't want one with some marker of where your char is, just a regular map, or a way to make one.

A map making skill was promised since early beta... yet never materialized.
I have not seen it listed on their to do list in quite some time.
