As we move on time forward and forward we see in every department music,cinema,athletics and whatever else u may think a slow but steady decay of quality. It's starting slowly to change,transform inro something else..less tasty..not that yumy.
If we talk about music we ll see that there were singers,with great personality and talent above all..There were not pretty they were talented..Odcc in order to become what they became and create those masterpieces songs they made,they were inspired by their expiriences..thosae were other times,they had nam,cold war,social revelutions some serious shits were going back there and they participated,on those events ,they actually lived thengot influenced by their fathers that had expiriences from world war 2 and other cosmo historic events. They were xpressing their pain on their songs, the voices of whole nations,millions of ppl were hanging on their songs cause they actually meant something.
If we talk about football we ll see that almost every country had some superstars players that their talent wa so huge that if our current superstars like messi ,or christiano ronaldo,rooney were playing back then i dont think they would even be substitutes on their bench.Talent is lingering nowdays on football and priorities like physical game,stamina speed and strength has become n1 qualities in modern football.You can count on the finger of 1 hand talented players in each country nowdays. Same goes for basketball ofc. You dont see nowdays any Nikos Galis,or Drazen Petrovic,Divac ,Marculonis,Sabonis,San Epifanio,Anotnelo,Riva,Dorod Jamsi and many others .. And if anyone tries even to quote any current NBA player with M jordan or sir Charles Barkley or Jabbar or LARRY bird boot inc to head.
Concerning PC Games industry and mmorpg industry we have a same story.. I dont think there will be any great games comparable to Baldur's gate series,or X-com enemy unknown and many many other ganes from 90's in trems of gameplay ever.. Only thing hat is getting improved is grafix and technologies...Back there in 90's game programmers were making a game of 70 mbts in less than a year and it was so awesome original inspiring and top gameplay quality and above all so bloody ethistic. Now it takes teams of programmers years to make 1 game of 7 gigas full of shit.
Conclusion: In every department as years pass talent flies away and we are watching physical players trying to play football,untalented blond half naked babes pretending to sing with xero personalities,and ofc COMPLETELY RETARDED PROGRAMMERS with no talent and fantasy WHAT SO EVER ,pretending to make xero gameplay games with nice grafix ,unable to deliver the smallest dose of gameplay that all thhese old games back in 90's used to have.

You realize your parents said the exact same thing, so did their parents, and their parents, and ever generation since games, music, and entertainment was invented.
So based on that only 2 conclusions can be formed:
1. Your all wrong. There has not been any actual decline, yes there will be copy cats and crappy singers and games, but each generation will have their own hits and music stars and think they are the best and most technical. Each generation will also have it's crap and every few generations there comes along something new that changes the direction of the artists.
or
2. You are right and each generation has been steadily declining in artisitic quality. Therefore the pinnacle of human artistic achievement were the original homo sapiens or adam and eve depending on your belief.
Kinda of rediculous if you ask me.

While The Beattles is hard to dispute, the other ones you list are no better than Muse, Tool, or the other top artists of our age.
25 years from now someone will cite a lack of Beattles, Muse, and Tool as reasons that things are falling apart (despite there being yet another set of really gifted artists at that point in the future.)
Same with all the other stuff you mention, really.
