Attendees at this year's PAX East convention will have the opportunity to experience Guild Wars 2 via an entirely new demo over last year's. The new demo will debut in Boston during the convention scheduled for March 11-13, 2011. The Arena.Net team will also be on hand for a panel discussion and will be in attendance during the NCSoft Meet & Greet event on the 11th.
What would a convention be without panels? On Saturday, March 12 at PAX East, ArenaNet will host the “Guild Wars 2 – Fantasy MMO Redefined” panel. This discussion runs from 3PM to 4PM, and will feature Colin Johanson, Jon Peters, Tirzah Bauer, and more. In addition, Colin will also be part of the MMORPG.com panel “The Future of Online Games” at 5 PM at the Naga Theater. He’s a busy guy!
But that’s not all, folks. Our very own Community wizard Regina Buenaobra will be featured on two panels at PAX East this year: “What the Heck is a Community Manager?” on Friday, March 11 at 3:30 PM and “One of Us” on Sunday, March 13 at 12:00 PM. All times are subject to change, of course.

I wish that i could attend pax to play the demo.
ANET is evil!!!
First they let us dry out in the sun for four months and then they flood us with these news and throw us into this brand new hype machine
Damn you Anet and your sexy GW2!!:D
I think I actually spent way more time reading and theorycrafting about MMOs than playing them
Depends on how they make it available and one's patience.
At both PAX and PAX east there are sometimes huge lines to get on these machines. Whereas with Aion their entire area just had computers that everyone could walk up to and play.
I'm not sure I have the interest to wait in line for 45 minutes so that I can play 5 minutes of a video game.
We'll see.

Serph toze kindly has started a walk-through. https://youtu.be/UIelCK-lldo
That is great news.
I hope they show some PvP this time, that would mean that the game is closer to release than I dared to hope. The PvE seems to be pretty well done besides the last 3 classes and maybe some of the races personal storyline but we heard very little about PvP and balancing it is probably the hardest job there is with a new game.
Since I can't attend and play the demo myself, I expect all of you to take vids I'm excited to see more gameplay footage! I wanna see the guardian in action, especially.
at PAX, players were given 1 hour of GW2 playtime and while waiting in line, ANET devs were chatting with them, thats not something that you usually experience during game conventions. i dont think anyone who got to PAX last year consider it a waste of time demoing GW2 :P
can't wait for the flood of new videos and info on march!
Have fun storming the castle! - Miracle Max
I already waited 2 hours for a 3 minutes ride in some random Rollercoaster
Any videos of it?
People don't ask questions to get answers - they ask questions to show how smart they are. - Dogbert
Only if you an travel 5 weeks into the future, record it tne travel 5 weeks back.
I don't think PvE is done except the last 3 classes. They barely managed to announce the guardian, half of the questions in the IRC interview they gave could not be answered because "not finalized" etc. And 3 classes is huge, even when only looking at PvE.
And the strings attached to PvP..
Anyways, looking forward to it. Hope they'll provide some good videos straight away,.
I'll wait to the day's end when the moon is high
And then I'll rise with the tide with a lust for life, I'll
Amass an army, and we'll harness a horde
And then we'll limp across the land until we stand at the shore
Can't wait until they actually provide a public demo like their first GW1 unveil, the "E3 for Everyone" Event in which anyone in the world could play, not only the people attending the event.
They have my respect since that event.
I was so totally going to do it, but someone stole the keys to my Delorean.
Right now, I would stand in line for 45 minutes to watch somebody else play GW2.
With the chance of having a class release with PAX (6/8), actual release may be sooner then 2012.
All of my posts are either intelligent, thought provoking, funny, satirical, sarcastic or intentionally disrespectful. Take your pick.
I get banned in the forums for games I love, so lets see if I do better in the forums for games I hate.
I enjoy the serenity of not caring what your opinion is.
I don't hate much, but I hate Apple© with a passion. If Steve Jobs was alive, I would punch him in the face.
Not going to make it to PAX but the ANet site does a great job of explaining the how and what of the game. The graphics are light years ahead of the original.
