Hmm, sounds pretty cool. Nice to see two great companies come together for some deals.
Too bad for Steam that this game is much much cheaper on D2D.
Obviously because you don't pay for these items
Wish Valve would've never crossed this threshold. The game's art style and direction has taken a backseat because of stuff like this.
I would rather have 10 to 20 percent off the box price. The well spun hat is pretty cool though.
I can not remember winning or losing a single debate on the internet.
What do you mean? By D2D web site they're the same price.
Time to check TF2 for those items, hehe.
D2D has tell a friend -campaign, with code from it you can get 20% off from the normal sale price. That makes D2D cheaper alternative.
You can get a 20% discount with a coupon from D2D, here is the forum link.

It worth it since you can get the collectors edition for less then the regular version
You got a link for that?
Game in the UK sell it much cheaper and you get the box version with all the goodies.
Buying Rift at Game
Looks like the pre-order bonuses with Steam in the OP are for the USA customers only. I checked the UK store and the only bonus is Steam Exclusive pre-order item: Blazing Sourcestone Rune Weapon Enchantment. Game give the frozen version.
I just think that that hat is creepy. O.o
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Playing: Rift, LotRO
Waiting on: GW2, BP
Awesome, thanks for the link. Very good deal.
Valve just did this same TF2 cross over item thing with the game Monday Night Combat as well.
Steam: Neph
No squirel, but one of these:
Collectors got that pet in the middle. No clue what that's supposed to be:
Nice, will those items in TF2 be tradeable? Would like to seee some rifts open up in the middle of a heated TF2 battle. haha
Not to be an idiot, but I don't understand this comment. Care to elaborate?
LOL calling that a hat is a little like calling a bullet hole in the chest a skin blemish..
and to quote " The Replacements "
What do you fear?
What ya mean coach, like what?
Things you are afraid of...
Spiders.. spiders freak me out guys..
Yea me too Jimbo spiders freak me out too...
I have to agree with the people that say that while this deal is pretty cool, D2D's lower prices is what would be the most desirable for me if/when I decided to buy this game.
"Spider on my head! .. GAH! SPIDER on my HEAD!!!" Is what my poor toon would be thinking the entire time.
To appease Rockgod, they should make a hat, or a pet, or both, that looks like this:
"Gypsies, tramps, and thieves, we were called by the Admin of the site . . . "
From what I remember, Rift doesn't have a cosmetic tab, so that cosmetic hat will be useless as it will take up space of an item with actual stats.
Steam is a pile of crap. Every time I have had a game that used their service I have had problems. Their customer service is probably one of worst I have dealt with. More like a minus than any plus.
omg i was so scared for a second. i thought valve would somehow be involved with the development of rift. that would have be terrible.
sounds awesome, too bad you can't open rifts in tf2
Really? Because I can't think of a product that Valve has touched that has not made a ridiculous amount of money...
