After waiting for a few months I have come to the conclusion that it shall never see the shores of Europe... unless you use a proxy, which is something nexon seems to dislike.

    Kind of annoying.

I believe that Nexon quite possibly  lacks the funds to acquire a server complex somewhere in Europe to service it. They may well be in dire straights already.

There is the link for you. Although Nexon moves at a snails pace to do anything for the player base expansion, it will eventually come. You just have to be pretty patient, which it seems you have been and now that patience is wearing thin. I'm pretty sure it shouldn't be too much longer seeing as how NA is getting a MASSIVE update ont he 16th with a lot of content which should keep those players busy for quite a while, POSSIBLY allowing Nexon to begin a more substantial amount of work on an EU port. Just keep your fingers crossed.

Wow, they actually haven't released the game in EU yet....wonder what they're waiting for. Unless they want to release Vindictus EU at the same time Nexon NA releases Dragon Nest, but that's only speculation at this point, so I guess only time will tell.

Of the videos I've seen of the gameplay, I thought It looked completely awesome, and was wowed by combat system. I do hope it comes out soon as I'm bored with Maplestory, and I play Mabinogi on and off, and gives me an excuses to not do college work :L From memory this is the same as to  what happened with Mabinogi. But it was soon up and running :) I think it's to do with devCat sorting Mabinogi Eu and NA and Vindictus out over in NA, but thats just my theory. As I said I do hope it comes out soon. :)

    XD

nope, wont come out. I dont think anybody in eu still cares.

Trust me, you arent missing anything. For about an hour or so its okay, but really you can get the same amount of action for a PS1 beat em game like fighting force. Its nothing great. And you have to spend RL cash to look good (and the clothes expire which is really retarded and greedy).

Wanting this game really bad is like wanting to lick a dirty wall because it looks like it might taste good.

we have the right to know whats delaying VinEU because they said it was gonna go open beta at the end of december 2010,

and when they finally release it (because they're nexon) they're gonna go with the first version of the game, meaning we only get to choose from 2 characters like the NA beta.

and from there they will continue to update the game which will be slow and agonizing. the reason they do this is because they want it to develop just like the NA version had gonne through their updates.

I don't understand their logic, they don't have to aks for right or translate anything, they cud just throw in a EU server with the current patch. or even better, just allow EU IPs

since they had no plans on adding dungeon fighter soon I think we might see vindictus at the end of 2011. u can't trust nexon if ur european. also the NAs also get a delayed update to their games, but thats a diffrent story. also another similar action mmo published by them is dragon nest which... yeah  we will ahve to wait for years for us to be able to play it.

since nexon EU has only allowed 4 games to be published from the NA nexon. so don't excpect allot of game spublished by nexon showing up for us Europeans because they will likely not come.either nexon is gonna go through a huge change and suddenly allow access/create EU servers but this is also higly unlikely, or is it?

I've been waiting for vindictus (a.k.a mabinogi heroes) for more than 3 years now if not 4 and now were so close for the EU release, but since when did we get any offcial news about vindictus eu? what will happen is that vindictus might be released in the near future but its gonna start from scratch so we won't get the current version.

and why go through all this wait and not simply use a proxy? because u don't want any kind of lag in this kind of game, you can't enjoy it.

from my point of view I think they won't simply make any money out of making european servers and the games aren't as populated as the NA servers. they could easily solve this like otherpublishers/mmorpgs by having a eu server on the NA client, this way the solve tons of problems.

but if nexon can't make any money they rather like to play with their so called problems. nexon is a hopeless company, why? because here we sit asking them questions why they haven't done this or that and nexon usually gives ya a reply that didn't answer your question.

no1 rly knows why nexon is doing this there is no reason for it. I'm probably one of those persons who should know allot about this because I've had this issue with nexon for about 6 years now ever since they started their IP ban on non US IPs.

and I'm still clueless they do this kind of stuff to every game. maple story EU isn't currently up to date with the NA one. lets say our questions start there, when we know why theres such a big diffrences on their games we can easily solve why vinEU hasn't been released, because its the same issue. one ignorant answer  might just be money. but why? when they could simply remove the IP ban?

if you think that I'm wrong or know somehting I don't know or just simply have an idea of "why" they're doing things like this, feel free to reply.

Trust me, you guys aren't missing much. If it were an actual fighting game and not a repetitive bossing button mash, I'd give it some credit.

Apparently Q4 2011. Someone said it was mentioned at E3.

It will come out when we no longer care.

  • just2duhjust2duh Member Posts: 1,290

I still can't believe it's not available for you guys yet, especially since not even a month into our beta forum mods stated several times that it would be available by Dec 2010 or Jan 2011 at the latest.

Now they are claiming it to be for around the same time, but a year later instead? Man.. I seriously feel for you guys..

But if it's any consolation it only held my interest for a couple months including my beta time (even after I waited in anticipation for a full year).

As it turned out it really wasn't worth holding my breath for, though it was fun for a bit, but at best it is soley designed to be played very casually, not only because of it's repetive nature but mostly thanks it's CashShop based token fee's on dungeon enterances.

I read some posts and I found that no one reads it to the end cuz you post things that takes half an hour to read.

    Resuming:

Vindictus closed beta starts in September.

Gamescon 2011 started today (17/08/11 [DD/MM/YY]) so the demo version as been already release (not for public tho, only for those who went to gamescon [still going on in germany]).

So wait just one month for the closed beta and 2 months for the open beta :D

Try it, Enjoy it, Love it, Leave it

    *Hopes you understood*
