Hmmm sword is good up till around La then I switched to a hammer for the knockdown capabilities and the extra damage to undead. my sword skills were: severe artery, gash, galrath slash, final thrust, mend, healing breeze, balthazar spirit, and heal party or resurrect depending on who is in the party. my uber hammer build is the following.
1st :Flurry-For 5 seconds, your attack rate is increased, but you deal less damage. 5-energy skill
2nd :Staggering Blow-If this hammer blow hits, target will suffer from weakness for 5-17 seconds. Adrenaline based
3rd :Heavy Blow-Lose all adrenaline. If this attack hits a foe suffering from weakness, that foe is knocked down and you strike for 1-24 more damage.
Adrenaline based
4th :Crushing Blow-If this attack hits, you strike for 1-16 more damage. If you hit a knocked-down enemy, you inflict a deep wound, lowering your target's maximum health by 20% for 5-17 seconds. Adrenaline based
5th :Mending-While you maintain this "Enchantment", target ally gains health regeneration of +1-3
6th :Healing Breeze-For 10 seconds, target ally gains health regeneration of 3-8.
7th :Balthazar's Spirit-Target recieves Adrenaline & Energy for damage received.
8th :Switch between Heal Party or Resurrect.
Start off with Balthazar's Spirit and Mending, then wade into the largest group and begin tanking. Start off with Flurry(In conjunction with Spirit gives you healthy Adrenaline recharge). If the fighting gets heavy and your bar starts to drop then use Healing hands.
Pros: Solid damage and healing with knockdown abilities, and overall good tanker. Hammers are best weapon against Undead and in conjunction with Smiting skills wreak havok on them. Self-sufficient as long as you don't take on too much at once. Allows your casters to lay down some heavy AOE.
Cons: Slow attack rate. If not tanking and taking damage then Adrenaline recharges slowly.
