    I think PBS will be better But I dont know if anyone played the Bethesda PotC its want to bad... If Bethesda made Potc Online i would play it though. But not a disney game

    Yes, I am definite that PotBS will be the game for me.  The most recent E3 updates that have been posted here just blown my mind.  I have always loved the Pirate genre and growing up, the original Pirates! was my favorite game ever, and probably still is.  The bad thing about this os so far I have managed to play only one MMORPG at a time, currently on and loving WoW, but I think I will have to start splitting my time in a few months.   To all the people at Flying Labs, keep up the fabulous work!!!!

    First of all Disney managed to ruin POTC which had to be difucult... but they still made it... Well, original (the one that had to be original before Disney layd their nails) version going online would be nice, but POTC never had that kind of details of "Pirates of the Burning Sea". Well, actually i would doubt there will be any game soon with THAT much of details... at leas a few years, that game is going to rule and be a first and only kind of the genre for a veryyyy loooong time...

    Disney thinks it can build a MMO in one year when it takes everyone else 3-4 years.

    Pirates of the Burning Sea will do well to release in 2006.
    PotCarribean.... you won't get a sniff of that game until '07 (rushed to release with Part 3 movie) or '08 if they're making a decent game.

    Pirates of the Burning Sea is based on history (for the most part).  For that reason alone it would be a better game than anything Disney is going to develop.  The Disney game will be a product spin-off of their movie just like putting pirate toys in Happy Meals.  Blech.  You probably won't be able to log in to the Disney game without watching five minutes of previews for Little Mermaid III.

    Won't it be too cartoonish with the fact that it is by Disney? Am i being illogical here, i don't know i have always asscociated disney with The Lion King, Toy Story etc.

    Disney definitely has the $$$ to put out an awesome MMORPG.  However, I don't think that they will.  It just isn't their line of business.  They will probably put something out that is OK, if they put anything out at all.

    PoTBS, if it is ever released, should be the superior game.  Heck some people think PoTBS will be the best MMORPG out there.

    Hmmm...just a thought, but Disney has enough money to buy PoTBS and call it Pirates of The Carribean....I know, I know, some people would say that the makers of PoTBS would never sell to Disney, but Disney has a lot of money and it is possible...Everything has a price...

    I think Pirates of the burning sea will be better simply because of the difference target audiences. Disney's game will undoubtedly target younger generation whereas FLS will be geared towrds a more mature audience. By no means am I suggesting that both games will be appealing to both young and old gamers, but I don't think 10 year olds will fair to well in POTBS.

    Anyway the game looks to be very good and will totally blow PCB out the water. IMO

    If Pirates of the Caribean online is based on Sea Dogs, like PotC single player, then I don't hold much hope for it. Sure Sea Dogs and it's sequal had fan-freaking-tastic sea battles, but the rest of the game deffinately was lacking. Especially ground control (both games) and ground battles (PotC).

    PotBS looks like it will be a good game, there is not enough info released to tell if Pirates of the Caribean sounds good or not. I hope both of them are great games, it will be better for us :)

    Nothing like putting pressure on them, eh? When it releases, it will be one of the ONLY age of sail MMOs out there, so maybe you're right. ::::02::

    And make no mistake. This game IS going to release. If not this winter, certainly next spring-summer. Alpha starts in September, followed by closed beta (with occasional open beta weekends). The finish line is in sight.

    Hell, Disney doesn't even know where the finish line IS. Good luck to them though.
