After much research, I think I am going to take the plunge. I am not to interested in joining a tribe at the start, I usually like to learn how to do stuff on my own. But I was wondering if there was someone who just recently, or is thinking of buying this that is willing to be my wingman. If so just leave a reply here or pm me

i am seriously debating on takeing the plunge as it seems very diffrent. if i do it will be a decision in the next hour or so.
LOL
Xsyon is becoming a movement.
It's like Willbonney is Sparticus.
I will decide within the next 24 hours as well. Probably will do it very soon.

Alright well, just send me a pm if your interested in working together, the game looks really good in my opinion. I loved wurm. Just.. lacked in multiple ways.
I just preordered this week and actually made time to log in and check it out today. So i am as clueless as the next noob. PM me.
Current: BDO
Looking forward to: Crowfall & Chronicles of Elyria
LoL yea i have been looking at it for awile but i have the Everquest Time Lock Progression Server opening on the 15th so its tough for me to make a plunge on a game that i have so much going on with playing everquest and LOTRO
I am shocked that ER has been getting all of the attention for the sandbox slot. This thing seems to have way more promise as far as having different things to do. Crafting materials being MOB loot doesn't seem like the greatest idea for a sandboxy player driven economy.
I was and still am excited about and for ER, but this game, which I had barely heard of before today is conceptually knocking my socks off.
I really hope that *insert game name here* will be the first game to ever live up to all of its pre-release promises, maintain a manageable hype level and have a clean release. Just don't expect me to hold my breath.
Welcome to the world of Xsyon, if you have any questions or issues with getting started please have a look here....

Also you can PM Willbonney, Saintbob or Tredo in the Xsyon forums or here. I am speaking for them but I am sure that they will be more then willing to lend some direction.
Please feel free to ask for help in the game as well. Use /y for global chat or /w [name] to whisper in game. The game is coming along very nicely, I find myself missing the Xsyon world and thinking about what I am going to work on next when I have the chance to log in. You will be able to develope a living virtual world within the game. If you want to be a hunter, a player that travels the mountains tracking and killing bears for the fur and bones you can. If you want to be a player that is a tailor and makes clothes, fabrics, threads, cloth tarps for tents or anything that requires clothier craftsmanship you can do that. If you want to build a house on the waters edge and fish for a living you can. If you want to make bricks for architects to use in buildings you can. There is so much you can do in game. If you want to be a bounty hunter and hunt down the lawless... you can! The game will let you play it however you want.... I have been in game since early March 2010, the game is leaps and bounds since then, if you have not checked it out lately, do yourself a favor and come look again. The game is solid, fun, and has so much potential you will be glad you gave it another look.
Treod
I was already to play rift.Bought it, had 6 month sub.Found Xsyon 2 days ago.bought it
Yesterday, canceled my sub for rift. If i can, i'll try for a refund for rift.
Their is so much to do in Xsyon.Only thing lacking, is a good combat modell ,but they are working on it.
I bought it and I'm downloading now. I've got to experience it for myself.
I just broke down and got it as well.
Buying the game also. When they implement a few more features, it will be a great game.
BOOYAKA!
I am right there with the guy that said he preordered rift, bought the 6 month sub, and all that fun stuff. Well I am cancelling my preorder to Rift, after 6 betas and some alpha testing, that game has no future.. it is another WoW clone and doesnt play nearly as solid WoW, not even close.. the combat is terrible, but lets get back on track! Xsyon seems like the game for me, I love pvp which is why I play sandboxes, I hear the combat sucks here but if they make it like mount and blade then I am going to be extremely stoked! Earthrise was going to be my game, I love anarchy online, one of my favorite mmorpgs of all time, and the fact that they were going to have territory controls similar to Notum Wars in AO, made me extremely happy. The fps issue in ER has basically ruined that game for me and after research of Xsyon, I have come to the conclusions I might just fork out $40 dollars that I don't have the money to spend on and take a shot in the dark and see what it has to offer. Hopefully this game offers what everyone says and I really am a stickler on how gear looks and all that fun stuff, hopefully we get some sweet gear at the higher tier of crafting gear and all that.
Look forward to seeing you all in game, if and when I buy Xsyon!
I am so intrigued by this game it's sickening!!! I will be rooting so hard for this game to succeed because if it does, I will definitely have to buy it. I was just reading the "Features" section of their website and read how your avatar ages and that effects your overall stats. That may be one of the coolest features of any MMO!
That is a really cool feature indeed and it also caught my eye when I first read the features of the game including being able to alter terrain in your area/camp were you have your totem setup. I dont think ive seen any other game offer some of the features this does.
I have wandered the desolate MMORPG wasteland for many years hoping that one day some developer will be brave enough to creat something totally new, something where the complexities of the world will actually interact, and I think I have finally found it.
P.S- If they make mounted combat and Mount&Blade style combat I would jizz my pants.
Im not sure if your aware of it but the combat plan being looked into for the game is infact planned to be like that of Mount&Blade
P.S. Dont jizz on me when you see this post
Where is the server going to be?
haha dont jizz my pants
i might be wrong but i think ive heard Ohio from a few people is where the server is
The server is located in Chicago, Illinois
This game caught my eye just yesterday and now I'm showing it to everyone I know haha. Watched that youtube vid where they build a moat around a small town, excellent!
My only concern is the population. It will be low that's a given, but how big exactly is the game world? I mean I'm all for the setting and story they're going for, I understand and appreciate that the immediate surroundings wont exactly be Ironforge at primetime and that's great. But if it turns out to be that I'll have to roam around for days without seeing a single soul... that's not cool either.
Any thoughts?
I humbly thank you for supplying me with this vital information, I must begin accumulating money for the game. lol
You wont have problems finding people in Xsyon. Tribe area's will be a guaranteed hub of life and you wont have to look far elsewhere as everyone goes about gathering, hunting, exploring etc outside of tribe zones.
Crap guys, why am I just now hearing about this game?! It obviously has a ways to go but the foundation of the game looks incredible. Will this turn out to be the next awesome sandbox? I don't know but I think I'm going to invest my $40 to find out. I like to support projects like this one, especially with so many crappy themeparks coming out these days.
Now, back to researching this game...
