General: The Quiz: Top Rated MMOs Edition

SBFordSBFord Former Associate EditorMember LegendaryPosts: 33,129

MMORPG.com's Drew Wood has been crunching the numbers on our Games List and he's picked the top rated games with which to torment you in The Quiz this week. See if you can guess which ones scored the highest (no cheating now!) and then let us know how you did on The Quiz: Top Rated MMOs Edition.

Welcome back to this week's edition of the Drew Wood's Quiz Power Hour (or whatever it was that I was calling it lately) where we're going to take a look at some of the highest rated released games as per you, our voters, on our game list. Now obviously, this goes without saying, but if your favorite MMO doesn't show up here in this list of 10, then head on over to our gamelist and rate your game! On we go! (Note: All scores are listed at time of writing this article. It is entirely possible that these have changed in the meantime)

Other than DCUO, nothing but older MMOs. I wonder when the developers are going to take a cue and create a new game with old game features???

Played SWG, EVE, Fallen Earth, LOTRO, Rift, Vanguard, WoW, SWTOR, TSW, Tera

Most people are just used to there older MMOs that have had years of polish and content. Newer MMO's have a harder time than ever competing. They don't get slack like the old ones when there wasn't much around, and usually there first impression keeps them from coming back even when they're decent games.

    Playing - EVE, Wurm

Retired - Final Fantasy XI, Anarchy Online, Mabinogi

    Waiting - ArcheAge, Salem

Only 6/10 this week. I can feel myself getting stupider. Not played Dco, not up on my Daoc and Vanguard and did not know why Ryzom shut down. If you could do a quiz about Cheese next time I am pretty sure I will ace the whole thing;)

Because developers look at subscriber numbers and profits, not ratings on MMORPG.com. If they coincided well with each other then WoW would be no. 1 on this list.

    Always read the small print.
