Been gone a while, wanna try Horde and need some advice

Im looking for something like warlock that gets a free mount so I dont have to spend all my time gathering gold. Also something that can solo well. I dont recall much about the horde or if they had the same professions.
I do recall shamans being considered ubber. However, looked like too much trouble to me having to toss down totems all the time bleh.
I did like warlock but it wasnt the easiest profession to solo with. No large damage output and pets were not that great except void for tanking.
Any opinions ?

I played a UD warlock, good solo guy, good group guy, all around fun character for something i think your looking for. Of course i could be wrong ;-)
only thing is that soul shards are HELL to collect/hold but other than that a great class to play, and fun too!
Try a hunter. Managing your pet can be irksome, though if you take up fishing, feeding it shouldn't be to big of a deal, and if it doesn't eat fish, there are plenty of bear, wolves, and boars to get meat from, which you can also skin for Leathercrafting to help fill any gaps in your armor. At level 20 you get Aspect of the Cheetah, which gives you a 30% increase in run speed. Not as good as a mount, but it beats walking.
Also, with a high enough fishing skill, there are some fish that sell pretty well on the auction house. Between that, and selling all the gear you collect while soloing, buying your mount at lvl 40 shouldn't be that big of a deal, to be honest.
Alot of people think Hunters are gimpy, but I've seen videos from people that understand how to play the class, and I assure they can kick some massive ass if played well.
Other than that, your only option for a free mount is Warlock.
