Honestly without seeing these pics on the official web site of the game I wouldn't have guessed the game environment nor genre and would I saw these tied to an article, on a gaming web site, I would have thought they made an error parsing wrong links....

Would not have thought SWTOR based on those. They are of a better quality and a preferable art style to the pseudo Clone Wars stuff SWTOR has...
edit: just stating a preference - not saying anybody should not like the SWTOR graphics.

That's concept art, not in-game screenshots I hope you know.
It is not concept art. It is art for the timeline series. I was stating that in my opinion, it is better than the actual art they have gone with for the game. It has a sense of sci-fi/fantasy art as opposed to the cartoon feel that the actual game offers. You can look at any of the gameplay trailers to see the likeness to the Clone Wars cartoons...
...and again, it is just my opinion on the graphics - not saying that somebody that feels different is wrong or anything of the like.

Looks like Conan.
Somebody else said that, and it is definitely more in line with what I was thinking when I saw the images. Reminded me more of the artwork from various points in the old Conan comics.

That's SWTOR?! I know it's the Old Republic but exactly how old are we saying here? I see spears and swords in there. Is this Dark Ages Old Republic or what?
I'd kill for TOR to look like that.
If I didn't know what the Sith race was in those pictures I might have mistook it for something else.
Thankfully I'm a big enough nerd that I recognized them. However, I am also depressed I can recognize ethem, even when they look a bit more 'human' than they're supposed to.
Sword part doesn't bother me because there was much more prolific use of cortosis, and a few other materials for weapons in the early years of the SW history even amongst jedi and sith.
EDIT: Forgot vibroblades were made outta cortosis.

maybe its because Im not a star wars fan...
I also thought about Conan when I first looked at them.
I honestly don't see how people can guess these pics are from a SW world. Maybe in the first pic with the red face but even then the whole look seems more like AoC or a Babylonian/Assyrian setting.
Now I'd say the fly one below belongs to DCU or Cities of vilains
How could that be anything but star wars. He is cleary attempting a vader choke.
That would be more lightning but out of context this is a fly vilain using some power, you can't guess it's from SW at all.

Honestly, it looked like StarGate aesthetics to me. I was first thinking it was for the StarGate Worlds game. Ah well.
