well try other races on horde/aliance, and pvp,pve or rp servers and you will find whats best for you.
out from the ground,,,, in to the sky,,,, out of the sky,,,, in to the dirt!!!! or into the computer and do stuff like mmmm GAMEING and BE DIRTY,,,, aaaaaaaa (damn sound like a damn crack head) .org from nirvana in utero.
I'm currently got level 60 priest and rogue with full devout and shadowcraft. Got bored myself well at least it was fun. I was thinking of playing GW but was really disapointed about whole instance thing... and warrior/monk type of chars. I think you should get some rest couple of weeks or so and then return back. That what I'm going to do.
That's just it. No one can deem what is fun/satisfying to you but you. What I may believe is fun may not be for you. You really have to find some type of focal point that you want to concentrate on in games like this. I mean in action games it's simple you have a set goal to reach and when you do reach it you buy the next game. But in MMOs you really have to bring a idea/plan/sense of direction to the game if you hope to feel the least bit satisfied. No one here has the magic answer. Try reading some of the lore on the official site or try spotting something on a higher level player (i.e. mount/weapon/armor) to serve as a motivator.
As far as guilds go it's the same demo. I may feel small tight guilds to be excellent for personal growth/satisfaction, you may feel you want a large PvP guild. But again you're placing some heavy expectations on a bunch of strangers when you're spending your own money to play. And if this appeals to you go try playing FFXI, there all you progress is in the hands of complete strangers....and I didn't find that fun at all.

Now I have been searching for a WoW account that has been canceled and will never be used again to play on, please dont take offense to this I am just trying to get a taste of what WoW is like, so if you have a canceled account I would be more than happy if you gave it to me, my friend will let me borrow his install discs, thanks in advance!

TheDarkTower havent you already put a post like that in a different thread? If you want to get a feel of the game, do like everybody else and buy it.
battleaxe22 the true answer depends on what you look for in a game. In my case it was to play with other people and I get bored fast when two friends of mine that I met through the guild are offline. If you think the game has become dull, make a character on a role playing server and RP more, it can give some extra fun. True, help is hard to find but if you make friends that problem can be solved. Joining a good guild also helps, one that will always be willing to help you when you are in need and dont mind having somebody who is a lower level tag along when you just need company.
1) Play on a PvP server
2)Group with your guild
3)Mix up locales i.e. try different zones, instances and try lots of exploring
4)Get to level 40-this is when the instances start to get hard and more fun plus your toon will start to make the turn from sitting duck to @$$ kicker
5)Try a different class/race/alignment-try horde/alliance see what fits you
I thought the community was absolutely excellent at launch (at least on the RP servers). It was about a month afterwards when it really began to go downhill.
almost everything gets boring if ya let it get boring to ya play whatever find new ways to have fun etc playing a multitude of games Online and offline and rl stuff to a balance of those helps out alot.
getting to endgame is aobut always going be the way that it got to you in WOW. THere are some games like eve that the peopel make up whats happening mostly. There are some others is it second life whatever its called does that. find out how not to get yourself too bored hehe.
Hehe fun thing is trying to figure out and complete every nook and cranny devs put in the games.

Heres why i quit:
-You can't talk to the other faction.
-Only way to get good items is to clear the same instance 50+ times (Highend game a.k.a farming)
-No way to kill your own faction members. Of course FFA server should have harsh penalties, but that option would be nice.
-Honour system awards players that have more time than others.
You cannot talk the other faction for good reasons. In PvP people would get spammed with the usual flames/taunts etc . Also do you think that ,for example, the english went and had a chat with the French during the Hundred Year Wars? We cant talk what they talk is the best reason for non cross communication. If you want PvP while chatting to yer enemy try something like CS maybe.
Only way to get good items is not to farm and repeat instances at all. You do not have to HAVE all the purple items in the game . You can find blues (rare items) anywhere in the wild ingame. Or you can sell whatever you dont need ,save and buy from AH ,if its not bind on pick up. Doing instances is about grouping ,which is about community and friendship and co-operation. If you can only solo and dont want to be a team player best try something else on the xbox /ps2.
No way to kill own faction members because fools like you think pvp means you HAVE to kill anyone who is a player. Just because you CAN kill them doesnt mean you HAVE to kill them. But thats what happens usually . Just look at DAoC. Besides "normal" pvp rules ie kill anyone and anything whenever you want, arent popular among regular mmo players. Take a look at what servers are lowest count on EQ and DAoC for example.
Honour system right now is a little off scew ill admit. But ANY and EVERY mmo rewards players with no life and punishes those with jobs and familys etc. Life does that too. How ever it is possible to still enjoy and get along in pvp battles without having UberDood Elite Boss titles. Battlegrounds are next patch and will help aleviate the pressure to pvp so much if you feel the need to have ethe pvp honour system rewards.
WoW isnt perfect and isnt finished ,like all MMos . If you get bored easy in WoW tho im afraid i dont know what mmo youd like. Its so frikkin easy to lvl and quests are funny if you take time to read them. Blizz actually have a sense of humour with their game style and content.
One mans meat etc
you used to be able to talk as undead to the alliance in beta, it sucks that they took that out..........
WoW was designed around PvP. If you are on a PvE server you are missing out on half the game. If you are bored on a PvE server, I was, switch to a PvP server. I know a lot of people, myself included, who are afraid to go to a PvP server because of past experiences with PvP games. WoW is different. Sure you'll get ganked once in a while, but you don't lose anything but a couple of minutes to run back to your body. Tell the local defense channel who ganked you and what level they were and usually some lvl 60 guy will show up and dispatch the ganker.
Of course being on a PvP server means you get to do your share of ganking too . Of course within a few minutes you'll get run off by some higher level guys (or if you are 60 you'll get run off by multiple level 60 guys).
WoW is like other MMORPGs in that you pretty much need to level up to 60 to experience the end-game content. But unlike other MMORPGs, lvl 60 content is not only PvE raid stuff, but lots of PvP. Hopefully the battlegrounds will be in soon so there will be some more PvP fun.
if wow is boring then try some games that actually ahve good reviews like EVE online or Ryzom, they are both meant to keep you good for years, not just a month
but you should ask yoruself if you can spend 20 hours a week for a couple years on a game
EVE sucks. Its overly complex to learn and play. PvP gankings are out of control. The economy is run by the rich people who have been playing for years. And its oh so lovely to be space jacked..."give us 200% of your net-worth or will destroy your ship and pod you". And even if you can afford to pay them, they still pod you.
The only people who say EvE is great are the people who've been playing since the begining and are running out of newbie targets.
Travel is THE worst I've ever seen in any game. It can litterly take you hours to go somewhere. And you can't go AFK while travelling because there is a 90% chance you'll get jumped at that next gate.
EVE is the absolute worst game ever made.
Find your best class. Got a level 60 hunter, I hate that stupid class. Level 60 is the end-game, no one wants to group with a hunter for high level instances cause we're a too general class, we don't help for sh1t.
Rerolled a Paladin. So much better. I get accepted to any groups I ask, I even manage to get more people to join my own group.
Man, if you never passed level 35, you're missing out on so much. Go on the official webpage, check the community site, look at what areas and zones are dedicated to your current level and find new quests to do.
At level 40, I finished all quests in STV and Tanaris. For a few days, I was hella bored, I didn't know what to do. So I went on the WoW webpage, found out that Feralas offers quests for level 40-50, went there, discovered tones of new quests to do! It's great!
WoW becomes boring if you don't know where to go. The game is somewhat badly designed on that aspect because if you don't know about thottbot or don't visit the official webpage and forums, you could end up not finding any new content for your current level.

First off I dont mean to sound harsh but are you on crack?? WoW is not a solo game. Are you on a PvP server? If not start over on one. Secondly the game is full of instances which, to complete them, you NEED a group. Plus any of the elite quests which make up about 20% of all quests you need a group too, unless the mob is low green to you.
You haven't gotten to lvl 20 yet so I really kind of envy you. But if your bored already maybe the games not for you. I got to level 20 without even realizing it and Im level 51 with my main now and Im still not bored. Join a guild try some instances explore and stuff. And with a huge community theres always a group to find. But like I said if your bored and havent even hit level 20 maybe a FPS game is more for you. PvP gives the game a ton of replay value though so maybe thats why your bored your on a PvE server?
ROFL. I love this forum!

First off, no I am not on crack but thank you for your concern . Secondly, no I am not on a PvP server, but yes this game is built mostly around PvP. I'm not on a PvP server because my friend plays on my PvE server. And I don't think she'll switch to another server because she has a lvl 60 toon as well as a few others. I'm not really into PvP but I may give it a go specially if I get up there. Btw, my toon is now lvl 21. Still leveling slow but at least he's leveling. The only thing thats keeping me playing this game is the fact that it has lots of areas to explore. And I like exploration, but as well like questing and grouping.
Well I don't know if more people group on your server. But the one that I'm on the biggest groups you'll see is with maybe two or three people. Or perhapes maybe people are grouped with thier guilds. That is one thing I need right now but I'm kind of picky about guild invites and don't want to take anonymous invites from guilds. You know what I mean. I'd like to go look up some guild webpages and check out and see what they have to offer before joining one. I'm on elune server btw, and my toon is a warrior. So I am still playing it, not hooked on it or anything, sometimes I'm having fun, sometimes I'm bored. I guess I will go and check the fourms for a guild now :P

I simply do NOT get bored. Ever.
