Hi, I'm building a pc, and I need help. Can anyone reccomend a site that has nice pictures and easy to understand instructions. It should be up to date, and include the necessary steps to installing a SATA drive. All the sites I googled seem to talk about PATA only. Heres a lits of my componemts.
3.2 Ghz Intel CPU
p4s800d-x Asus motherboard
Radeon X300 video card
some LITEON burner
SOme 512MB stick of Crucial RAM
80GB Western Digital SATA Hard Drive
Logisys Cracula Case 480W Power Supply
If you can help, plz help. I don't really have much to do until I finish it. I've installed the Cpu, RAM, and heatsink. I've also installed the motherboard into the case. I'm having difficulty connecting my hard drive. Yes, I'm sure my motherboard supports SATA, and I know where the plugs are.
Thanks,

Here is a pretty decent guide...

It is up to date with what you need and includes pictures/videos (some SATA instructions too).
Read the instructions that come with your SATA hard drive. It will probably explain best how to install it. If you don't have it then check their website... I think this is it in PDF form...

If you are still having trouble with the SATA instructions, you can probably call them for support.
haha thing is it didn't come with anything! Just the disk wrapped in those bubble things.
What exactly seems to be the problem then? Do you have the drive connected and it's just not being recognized? I haven't used SATA drive yet myself but I think you might have to change the drive setting the bios from PATA to SATA.
Here's the link to your motherboards manual if your looking for that.
