End Game is similar to DCUO's endgame?
Get 50 XXX from dungeon xxx. Get 50 YYY from dungeon yyy. Get your tire 1.
Get 50 MMM from heroic dungeon.... Tire 2... Tire 3
Is it like this?

i thought DCUO had no endgame.
Rift has raids and expert dungeons.
You are assuming everyone has played DCUO and know what kind of end game it has?

nobody played rift's endgame, only nda alpha testers did.
Endgame in Rift we can only guess at from interviews, podcasts and other sources.
What I have read and heard so far.
Rift Endgame will be
buying access to hardcore 10 man Rift battles thru in game currencies.
going thru any dungeon in regular for fun.
going thru 50th hard mode dungeons for challenge.
starting tier progression for raids thru new wings of old dungeons that provide continuation of storyline and plot progression.
PvEvP, and PvP warfronts of all types and levels that will challenge both guardian and defiant.
Gear progressions for PvE and PvP. There will be seperate a few seperate stats that help out in each but they can be used with some effectivness in both PvP and PvE.
Not totally sure about this part but one would think they would have high level crafting recipes that you will need to make the needed items to progress into the endgame contents and some of the ingrediants hopefully will come from creatures and areas of endgame as well.
I hope it's not like WoW/DCUO (yes they are so similar it's sad right now)
/shout LF healer, must have 4+ pieces of tier 1, will inspect because people without tier 1 are dirty hobos even though the stats are negligible.
That's DCUO.
Devs have decided that instead of making lots of fun dungeons and things to do, they'll make 5, and you'll run them over and over again, and they'll be frustrating because they require people actually know how to play, and in PUGS someone always doesn't, and then in turn people will blame gear, and start a bunch of gear elitism, that forces everyone to grind even more frustrating dungeons before moving onto more frustrating dungeons.
Yes, there are alternatives, none that allow the Devs to sit on their asses rolling in dough for a fraction of the work, but there are alternatives.
WoW is not like that at all. Have you ever played WoW or is that something you read from some inexperienced rant.
I just came from WoW, sub expired the 9th. What I said above is DCUO copy/paste, but the same general idea applies in WoW, except the stats are more important, admittedly. I want a game where you don't just grind from gear set to gear set is what I'm getting at, because such endgame is garbage.
Stats are important in any game. You first said that end game requires you to grind for tier gear and unless you have those pieces you won't get an invite, which is not how WoW end game works. WoW has always been skill over stats before and after WotLK. Last expansion was a complete joke but Blizzard corrected their mistakes.
Yeah even if it was skill over stats I don't think the people playing it understood it. People that advertised for a certain Gear Score weren't looking for skill they were looking for stats. The GS requirements were also insane for such low level raids. So wow was stats > skill based on the community standards. I still see this going on now. minus gearscore
I've always heard it was gear over skill, not that skill is actually present in WoW.
End games are similar. You get 50 and all the dungeons that came before are available as 50 modes. Gear here makes raids doable, ie chance at no wipe. Personally like that you don't hit cap and redo the same 3 instances over and over or reroll to do the lower instances.
The only reason you don't see that in WoW any longer is that you can't filter out the people who join you in the LFG tool. You can, however, blame them for your mistakes and kick them.
The other reason you don't see it is because of GearScore - must have GS 5400+, etc. WoW's end game is literally about nothing but gear. Skill, stats and build are secondary considerations.
I can not remember winning or losing a single debate on the internet.
Will Rift be different in that regard?

I have to disagree with you on this one. Maybe its a server thing, but when I played up until 4 months ago, gearscore was everything. If you didn't have a GS over a certain number, you were restricted to running heroics until you had enough tokens to get better gear.
I hear in cataclysm they've done away with token grinds, but I can't comment on that as I don't play anymore. I just hope that gear doesn't become as vital in rift as it was in wow, I really don't want to spend weeks grinding the same dungeons just so that I get enough gear to do the more exciting content.
I think it would be nice to provide alternative methods to getting gear than just dungeons. Rift seems to do this with rifts and side quests, so maybe there's hope for me yet. I'd like it if pvp and pve gear was interchangeable too, so I could perhaps augment my raiding gear with some pvp stuff and vice versa, just to avoid pigeonholing people into either pvp or pve.
End game gearing. While there are dungeon drops, most of it is from specific currencies.
Tier 1 Elite dungeon gear costs Elite dungeon tokens.
Tier 2 Elite dungeon gear requires more tokens AND the Tier 1 armor piece.
All the Factions seem to have gear for normal coin, with the proper faction level. And this is where you gate the Raid Rift openers.
I never really understood this end game for gear that WoW and other games has. I mean you raid to get better gear so you can do more raids so you get better gear and so on. For me that sounds like a squirrel wheel.

That's how Blizzard keeps their subs.
I'm pretty excited about the game from what I've seen.
Wow? Skill over stats? You gotta be freaking kidding.
