So, what do you plan to do in Beta 7?

smallfoxxsmallfoxx Member Posts: 10

So with the Beta 7 set to launch in just about 24 hours, what do you hope to do during the week? (those of you that actually plan on playing it)

Feel free to post responses if you have other ideas!

Gatting to max available level, which will be 42, current toon is 35 so shouldn't be a problem.

Getting grandmaster in Outfitter, Butcher I'm not too fussed about, already grandmaster in runebreaking.

Explore the two new open areas as much as possible and complete their quests.

Do the new dungeon at least once.

Killing stuff during rifts and invasions.

BUT most of all : Have fun!

Laugh as my character gets wiped at the end of beta and smile again 'cause it's only a few days to head start :)

I'm going to reroll a new character.  Will also pickup Outfitting/Butchering/Rune Crafting along the way.  I want to see how long it would take to hit the current level cap.

Last beta i took a rouge and a mage to level 15 and this beta i will take a warrior and cleric to level 15.

This will give me an idea about what i like to play and to get a feel for what works and what doesnt.

I am going to try out Reaver/Beastmaster/Warlord and for cleric im going to try Shaman/Druid/Purifier

    Playing: PO, EVE
    Waiting for: WoD
Favourite MMOs: VG, EVE, FE and DDO

All of those options would sound good, except everytime i log in i cant' play.  I dont want to ruin my experience and the thrill of LIVE.

nethermancer you can't really learn anything til you get a character to 25, by then you have more than enough points to understand what does what, and who does who.

    I'd make that Shaman/Druid/Warden -

The instant cast HoTs + instant cast ranged dmg spells (one with a knockback) I found to be much more useful then the shields and single-target heals of the Purifier.

Besides, the Shaman/Druid/Warden all fit together in kind of the nature/water theme.

    It's a solo-leveling beast!

Nothing to be honest. I wont be playing anymore till release and havent played after beta 3/4. Dont wanna ruin the whole experience with these beta's

I only tried the first beta to see if my system could handle the game

I would have voted for : Focus on grinding up my character as fast as possible to get to the max level to see what the end game will be like - 23.5%

...but the cap is 42 in open beta so you won't be able to see the end game. So voted to test as many builds as possible

If you're gonna melee cleric, you may want to consider Sham/Dru/Justicar instead, but then again make a couple of Roles and see which ones best for you.

If you get time, you might want to try to get one past 20 at least; the tree's really start to diffirentiate then too.

Ya, I'm hoping 42 is starting to look like at it, but might have to wait for pre-launch.

    Isn't it Beta 8?

Anyway, I'm not sure if I'll participate in the last beta or not, still trying to decide. If I do I'll probably just casually play my level 24 rogue, no real goal in mind.

  • VidirVidir Member UncommonPosts: 963

I think I will use this beta to decide what my first class will be:-)

  • TardcoreTardcore Member Posts: 2,325

I didn't vote because you left out the choice of one of the major past times in this game, which is sit in global chat and troll about how much this game is like Wow.

Just kidding. I've got my builds sorted out so I'm going to be mainly PVPing this time round so my mad skillz don't totally suck (well at least totally suck less) come the live release.

Also since it looks like everyone and their dog is going to be rolling Defiant (and I've horribly burned myself out on the Defiant early levels area) I'm planning on running mostly Guardian when the game goes live. The rumor that I am rolling Guardian solely because I can make my bad ass warrior toon a tiny dwarf woman with a bright orange afro has nothing to do with this decison.

    Really.

Though tiny dwarf women with bright orange afros do rule.

I've only played Cleric and Warrior callings to the high teens/low twenties, and both on the Defiant side, so I think I'm going to roll a Rogue calling on the Guardian side and see how I like it. Then, probably a Mage calling too.

Still haven't decided on what calling to play at launch.

Just going to play around with some builds. Will not go past level 20. Do not want to ruin the game before its launched.

So far my favourite build has been Pally/Reaver however I'm going to try Pally/Warlord.

Easiest Leveling has been Ranger/Bard. Unbeatable when leveling, unless you get about 10 on you. PvP wise its not great.

I plan on griefing a few of the barrens chat troll types.... Ordinarily I would have most of chat disabled, but being we're trying to test and (imho) communication is key... which naturally resulted in having to suffer the aimless musings (VOGON Poetry) of the look at me crowd.

I agree with you this would be ideal but i dont have the time to get them both to 25 and I want to try cleric and warrior so i know which character I want to start with as my main for launch.

I'm going to test if my 22 paladin can tank the expert level of the fae dungeon. Then check to see all the nerfs to the classes I play, if I have to revise what classes I will play at launch.
