Awesome job by Gearbox Software for a brand new ip. The game is not even a year old! Keep up the awesomeness!

Awesome. They deserve it, Borderlands is extremely well-made and fun, not to mention that they take community feedback pretty seriously.
At first I was very interested in Borderlands, and nearly bought it. But the more I read and saw about it, the more I came to the conclusion that it's not for me. I mean it looked funny and everything, but I assumed that solo it could become boring quickly, and groups with random people.... well if you played WoW or League of Legends or similiar games where you are dependant on random groups, then you know after a while how annoying that can be.
I mean the game obviously ain't bad, but I personally wouldn't play it unless I have a bunch of buddies doing the same.
Let's play Fallen Earth (blind, 300 episodes)
Let's play Guild Wars 2 (blind, 45 episodes)
For me the game is 3d diablo with guns. I like brick! when he is in a beserker rage it still makes me laugh. I Think he makes the best sound efects for a beserker rage in any game ever.
Good for them! Borderlands is a great game and I applaud Gearbox for taking the chance is releasing the game without any sorts of DRM.
Hopefully the high sales figures will show to other developers that DRM is not the best way to combat piracy. Rather, the best way is to release quality software.
I thought about getting it but coop-only games aren't for me. It's too hard to find good people to play with(especially on consoles). I'll never purchase Left4Dead, Army of Two, Borderlands, etc.
Borderlands has a pretty nice single player campaign. The multiplayer aspect is completely optional.
All I see in this game is randomly generated sh!t load of guns color coded so that a certain demografic don't feel lost.
But eh, if its not for me doesn't mean its not good. I like the art & the edgy humour & with those kinda numbers their next game might be better. I'm more than willing to give them another chance to win me over.
Good luck to them.
Co-op is awesome with 4 people. So much loot, much harder and better loot you can find when grouped. Though as stated before, it is a very good singleplayer as well.
I'm very happy to hear of their success. Gearbox took some big risks with Borderlands, and I'm glad that it has paid off well for them. I personally enjoyed the game very much, despite some of its flaws. The single player is quite lengthy, and you get to play though it again when you've finished it once with better skills, gear, and tougher enemies. The dynamic gun creation is surprisingly good, if a bit limited, and it does get pretty addicting.
Co-op is pretty fun as well, although it suffers in my opinion from a matchmaking and lobby system that is poorly done. Quests are pretty standard fare. The story is pretty meh, but I really enjoyed the artistic and technical direction of the game. All in all it really makes you wonder how well an MMOFPS/RPG could do.
Borderlands is a fun game and its nice to have a different graphical slant . So many different weapons as well, a refreshing change from the norm
SACK RAFA QUICK!!!

Can't you play 2 and 4 player split screen also? sorry Borderlands is the one rpg i havent picked up this year.
I play both L4d 1 and 2 on split screen with my brother and on weekends when the boys come over to drink and its really fun.
If Borderlands lets me play without Live service im golden.
Edit: Just checked co-optimus.com and borderlands can be played two player co op. Thats cool i think i will pick it up. I play L4d2 two player split and its really cool and my bro never gives me shit if i want to take my time in the scenarios lol
Playing: Rift, LotRO
Waiting on: GW2, BP
This was one of my top 5 favorite 360 games, good to see gearbox is doing well! Can't wait for the sequel....
Borderlands is simply fantastic! I am enjoying this game so much... because it has so much pack in it to the point I would like gearbox to make Borderlands 2-3-4-5 or simply add more and more DLC to expand the game more and more with more and bigger skill tree or another type of system like the artifacts.
GREA Game 9.5
I rented this and it was one of the most fun and well-made PS3 games I've played. The first boss murdered me over and over though, so I won't buy it.
-- Lowest Common Denominator.
I bought the GOTY edition only because it came with a code for first access to the Duke Nukem Forever demo.
Borderlands ultimatelly fails because of the lack of character data hosted on developer's servers.
Basically, everybody cheats/edits/scripts/hacks, whatever. No point in keeping playing after main plot.
It also fails because people who download pirated versions could play online withou the need of a cd key.
Except selling 3 million copies is win. Borderlands is a game you play with friends. Not random people online even though you have that option, so hacking and cheats are irrelevant
Gotta love 9 Toes and his puppies!
They just got that because me and millions of people ignored it for the reasons mentioned.
Hmmm... The gameplays looks good, aaaa think im going to buy it
