Hello,
I have 2 questions to people that are currently playing FFXIV.
1. Did they fix the issue where the game would crash when you tried to minimize it in fullscreen mode?
2. Do you still have to reasign all your skills to your hotbar when you switch jobs?

1. No, that's still there. I'm not sure of the reason for it either. I know that FFXI was originally fullscreen only and would deliberately shut down by design if you alt-tabbed out (IIRC, it was to stifle the use of third-party cheat programs). I don't know why that carried over to FFXIV which has a windowed mode, but it's still there.
2. When you switch jobs, the skills remain on the hotbar as long as you have enough points to cover all of them. Any skills that you can't use cross-class (Botanists' Arbor Call, for example) remain on the bar but are dimmed and they do not count against your number of points used. Of course, if you want to a different set of skills on the bar, you'll still need to replace them manually or with a macro.

An thus why the FFXI community downloaded and ran Windower for most of FFXI’s life while others like myself just booted dual screens so it didn’t phase us one bit.
