Lets say this scifi theme doesn't have aliens or atleast isn't filled with them like the SW and ST universes. Humans are just plain humans. Cyborgs are your mostly human with some cybernetic implants (more like Spooner in I, Robot than the Terminator). Andriods, like Data from StarTrek or Replicants in BladeRunner. And non-humanoid like Robots similar to Transformer robots. Which would you play as? Would you choose more based on what they are or by what they can do?
Or do you prefer a scifi themes with alien races?

Worrying about androids vs cyborgs feels a little like striking up a committee to debate the colour of the wheel before defining what shape it should be.
What makes you say that? Are they not defined clearly enough?
Haha, I think cyborgs are the clear winners. Let's face it, there's something we find oddly appealing about the fusion of man and machine.
Cyborgs = Humans with robotic implants, like computer chips in the brain or mechanical fingertips etc.
Androids = Robots built and programmed to look and behave like humans, but with enhanced capabilities like super strength or laser eyes etc.
Props for the Hitchhiker reference though.
Always read the small print.
Human.
Simply because beating something that should be clearly superior to you then teabagging them is good times

What about full body conversion cyborgs?
Ditch everything except the most important part... the brain.
Sure, there can be that but its still a Cyborg.
The thing about Ghost in the Shell is that it's even less human of a cyborg with just a squishy brain. Instead the only human part of it is the ghost or human spirit. Everything else is artifical. Thats where its really hazy.. is it a machine or is there enough there thats human to be called a cyborg?
