SWTOR: The Justin Bieber of MMO's

No I'm not a Bieber fan, but that's only because he doesn't appeal to me, and I haven't given his music a chance. But, ya gotta give credit where credit is due. The kid has worked hard, made all the right moves, and said all the right things. He has become a huge success and is making more money than 95% of North Americans, but people still try to argue that "he sucks" or has "no talent". People continuosly hate on the guy because he has accomplished more by the age of 16 then most could over three life times.

Much like Bieber this game looks and sounds good, appears to be entertaining, and most importantly has a well respected, successful team backing it. At the end of the day, millions will enjoy it (like Bieber), it will be successful to some extent (like Bieber), but "haters gonna hate" (as they do with Bieber). Unfortuneately there is alot of negativity in the world these days and most people have the "BioWare is going to fail and I will love it" rather than the "I hope BioWare succeeds in creating an entertaining fun game that I can enjoy". It's entertainment, its being created for your enjoyment, and at the end of the day they don't really owe you anything.

So let's all accept the fact that this will be a solid game that we can all enjoy, and put an end to this "hate on everything" attitude. We should encourage Bioware with our suggestions and thoughts so this game does become something we can all enjoy.

And to all you haters saying you'll never play this game, I say to you: "Never say Never". (Justin Bieber, Artist/Entertainer/Revolutionary).

So...  there will be youtube videos of nerds cring if SWTOR doesn't win game of the year?

I will not play a game with a cash shop ever again. A dev job should be to make the game better not make me pay so it sucks less.

Im tired of seeing this kids name, and the only reason he is famous and has a career  is because Usher who I dont listen to either discovered him on youtube. Give me good music from the 60-90's most of it now days is trash. Most voices now days are auto-tuned.

    Who is Justin Bieber?

I really hope that *insert game name here* will be the first game to ever live up to all of its pre-release promises, maintain a manageable hype level and have a clean release. Just don't expect me to hold my breath.

    LOL

when I read this thread I thought the OP had a negative response about SWTOR, but rather the opposite. But seriously, why Bieber?

I really hate that little kid.....

My god man. Justin bieber is the definition what is wrong with the music industry today.   People who are a lil older can't take it serious.  It's destroying real music and turning it into this manufactured pile of shit. That is what I think of bieber.

So, having no honest idea who Justin Bieber is (but gathering from the arist of the year comment, I assumed he was a musician), I just walked out of my room to ask my roommate who Justin Bieber was.  He's a DJ.  He's a black DJ.  What proceeded my question was one of the all-time funniest rants I have ever heard.  I can only paraphrase and try to clean up the language as best I can.

He's some little 16 year old skinny white kid shit singer, who thinks he's down with the blackfolk cause he's done shit with Usher!  But really only little 12 year old white girls like him!  He's the Leif Garret of today!  He was at the MTV awards wearing SKINNY JEANS THAT WERE SAGGING.  I have more respect for Lady Gaga!  He is the pop Vanilla Ice, and parents are just happy that their screamy little white girls have a white kids to faint over for a change since Lil Wayne scares the F&#% out of them!!!  He rocks an emo-cut hair helmet!  How the F%&^ do you not know who this is?!  All I can say is it hurts me to talk about him.

Then he got his gym clothes on to go lift weights cause he got all mad and ragey from thinking about Bieber and left.

Seriously, one of the funniest roommate moments ever.  Sorry I didn't get a recording, cause I could only convey about a third of what he actually said.  An acutal transcription of this rant would get me a ban.

Thank you all for making my morning hysterical.

I really hope that *insert game name here* will be the first game to ever live up to all of its pre-release promises, maintain a manageable hype level and have a clean release. Just don't expect me to hold my breath.

You just about made me laugh coffee out my nose Nolf, roflmao. I suppose in a way if you compared Swtor to the Bieberman, youd be saying its going to be massively popular and massively profitable and equally malligned. Sound familiar?

Lol this was the exact thought when I saw the title of the thread:D

Anyway, lot of people here thinks he's trolling when actually he's defending the game..people should read OPs post, not just the title

I think I actually spent way more time reading and theorycrafting about MMOs than playing them
