Guild Wars 2: Norn Week Next Week

NCSoft and Arena.Net have announced that the week of February 21-25th is Norn week for Guild Wars 2. The Norn are shape-shifting denizens of the North and there will be a lot of information, lore and a video or two released during the week.
Coming off of Guild Wars 2’s recent Human Week, NCsoft and ArenaNet would like to announce the second installment to their ongoing series dedicated to detailing the races featured in Guild Wars 2, Norn Week. This coming Monday the official ArenaNet Blog will treat players to an in-depth introduction to the shape shifting half-giants known as the Norn, and throughout the remainder of the week provide readers with additional insight from the developers on the lore, the newest art, and a new video as well.
Keep your eye on the Arena.net GW2 blog beginning Monday, February 21st.

Nice lets hope we get to see ALL the races in the next few weeks. BTW there are NO mesmers :P

Haha, yeah, I've been trying to figure out where this information came from. Posted it on gw2guru anyway. At least I have somebody to blame if it's a little too early!
Nice. I'm defnately picking Norn when GW2 comes out. I just hope I can transform into a bear while using guns. That would be pretty epic. And no one had better call me or my fellow Norn furries.

Even the formatting of the quote screams 'official Arenanet post being quoted'. I'm assuming this is just early leaked information, though I could be wrong.

Big surprise, I expected Norn week to be at least after PAX. Can't wait to hear more info on them!
It wouldn't be the first time Anet let some other site release some new information. I don't know why all the fuss. It's official imo.

It seems they're really making me wait for the two things I want more info about most - the Mesmer and the Sylvari!

I kinda was expecting it this coming week, since they mentioned that there would be more than just the humans featured in February, and the week after technically only has one Feb day in it.
Most of us were kind of betting on the Charr, though, given the wealth of ready material they already have, like the humans. I think this DOES hint at something Norn-ish being featurted in the PAX East demo...
Seems like they take their time to reveal races information... looks like at this pace, we won't see the beta till 3rd quarter?

Haha seriously...I think the rate at which Anet is posting information is perfect. Not too much to where there's an overload of info, and not too little to where people lose interest. Good job Anet.
A 3rd quarter beta is fine for me...I need time to fill up my HoM ^^
Well, I'm sort of expecting them to slow down a little bit after PAX East, though not nearly as much as they did after PAX West last year. Hoping for all the races to be out by GW1's birthday in late April though...
EDIT: Hmm, that actually wouldn't be much of a slowdown, for all five races. Time seems to be moving quickly this year for me...

Yep, the source was an email from Arena.Net. Sorry for the delay but that's it in a nutshell. It was also stated at the bottom of the Human Week introduction that other races, including the Norn, would be revealed "over the coming weeks".
