Anyone have any feedback? are the areas so separate and guards enough of a nuisance to make ganking an occasional annoyance or when there's a bunch of 50s will it be all but impossible to quest?
doesn't really answer my question. It only bothers me when it gets excessive. I've seen games where it's both intermittent, and more recently where it's constant.
But as far as pvp goes, instanced arenas are pretty lame, I need more. I'm not sure if PvE servers offer anything more than that though.
How is anyone supposed to answer this question when what you have is only the beta crowd. Launch behaviour may change. However you could check the terrain whether you can go to far out places to level in peace when you want and if such peace can be found or is the world too small for that .
The reason I don't roll pvp is I don't always want to be griefed while questing but on a pve server you can perma flag pvp so that's my preferred route will give me some open world pvp without the constant barrage. There seems to be a misconception that all pve players don't enjoy pvp I just don't want to be ganked for an hour trying to turn in a quest.
Ive been on a PvP server since beta 3 and have only been ganked 1 time. Have had no real issues with any interuption and will be staying on a PvP server come launch.

Same here, but I am not sure there will be much open world pvp on the PvE servers. There was in WoW, but it all died with BGs, which this game has at launch. So I may go pvp-rp this time.
I spent a good 3-4hours ganking today with a 5man group all at cap lvl, there was this unlucky guy running into us all the time bet we got him 20+ times then he disappeared
Well its loaded with gank parties from both sides, guess its pretty hard to quest if you were to be alone.
I've been ganked twice. Once by a 37 and another time by a group. Both times it was unavoidable from dieing but its not big of a deal since the penalty is low. I also defended a camp against a small defiant group mixed with invasions which was fun. I could easily see a group of high levels reak havoc on most of the NPC camps. If there was a raid of them... it might be possible for them to rule the zone unless they get a lot of resistance.
meh i'd ask after launch right now the server will be filled with idiots who don't plan on buying the game but feel the need to ruin peoples fun either by grieving or spamming the chat channel with "wow rules". its happend in every open beta i've played in the last couple of years, was the worst in Aions open beta. I pre-ordered Rift and haven't played a beta since the 3rd one i really don't wanna get to far into it just to have to start all over.well i did check out the 4th real quick to see if a major bug i had was fixed wich it was.
I wouldn't expect to roll on a PvE server expecting to find good solid world PvP, just like I wouldn't roll on a PvP server and not expect to be griefed now and again or have my PvE experiences interrupted.
Also keep in mind there will be world bosses that are spawned by special planar lures. World PvP matters then, too.
It's bored people who usually engage in lowbie ganking. The game is still too new for many people to reach that stage. If they are truly bored, they'll stop playing beta and go play their main game instead.
So I really don't think the beta servers are a good indicator of what things are going to be like on live.

ganking is great, having fun doing it.
How many delicate flowers have you met in Counterstrike?
I got a case of beer and a chainsaw waiting for me at home after work.
If your leveling being interupted by PvP seriously bothers you, I wouldn't roll on a PvP server.
.. But in a good way.

My Guild Wars 2 Vids
I too have been playing since beta 3 and I have only been ganked 1 time, this morning my 20 champion was ganked by a lvl39 archer.
Godz of War I call Thee
There has been a serious lack of ganking and greifing so far on Faemist server.
Hoping this changes in the future.

Thanks to the last 2 posts, sounds encouraging.
