looking for an mmo

Hello guys,

Im new here and im looking for some mmos i can play with my bf.

Unfortunaly he is very picky about games image, for the last month i showed him serveral mmos but at the end we only know now what he doesnt like:

asian touch

comic/manga/anime style

invincible walls/ something like that

 

Do any of you know games which are without that stuff above ?

I would be better if they were f2p because i would have to pay for him too.image

Btw we have already tried wow, but i dont like it.

    see the problem is most of the free to play will have almost an asian touch to them. I do know champions online just went free to play and its not a horrible game, something you might want to give a shot at. It is a super hero game that you can throw stuff and they do have a f2p and p2p areas.

    Vindictus is also a very different type of MMO, graphics are pretty good. I am not a huge fan of f2p games though, I will give them a shot but I havn't really found any one of them that I actually stay at and play.  You could try these websites

    those are just a few software develetors websites that I can think off hand to give you a few to look at. I am sure there are more I jsut can not think of right now

    You tried Lord of the Rings? I like it!  I think that  you both will like this game!

    lord of the rings is actually pretty good also. Graphics are pretty good and hte animation isn't to bad. They have a high def client if you have HD monitor witch helps with the graphics

    Well, I can only recommend what I'm playing right now, and that's Aika.

    If he likes mass PvP, then he can try this one out. It's worth a shot. ^_^

    Lord of the Rings is the best F2P game imho.  It isn't asian either.

     For free games, give Champions Online, Dungeons and Dragons Online, and Lord of the Rings Online a shot.  Guild Wars is free after buying the box. 

    Some games do offer discounts on subscriptions if you pay for several months upfront.  Rift is one of them and goes into another open beta on Feb 21st so you can check it out.  City of Heroes offers it and has a free trial.  If you like City of Heroes too, you can pick up older boxed versions of the game (CoH, CoV, mac edition, arcitect edition, collector's editions, etc) on the cheap and add the subtime from them (as well as get additional perks).

     

    What games have you tried, so we don't mistakenly suggest them again?
