Build your own fortress and defend it?
I am looking for a game in which you build your own fortress or HOUSE,and protect it...either by the machines constructed in it...or archers/monsters/knights.The idea is i want something that you create,customise it as you want,then defend it.Setting not important (sci-fi/medieval/fantasy etc,modern etc...)

I can think of Darkfall, but its a guild city.
if you dont mind shitty graphics and singleplayer, try dwarf fortress, its one of the deepest and most complex fortress building games. just make sure you download a new tileset and read the complete and utter newbie tutorial
Yes I have a dream And its not some MLK dream for equality. I wanna own a decommissioned lighthouse And I wanna live at the top And nobody knows I live there. And theres a button that I can press, and launch that lighthouse into space.
Xsyon or DF
although in Xsyon, you still dont have any reason to defend the Tribes that you made since most of the feature of PvP or Tribe taking isn't implemented yet
but i think these 2 is your best bet

are people here payed to say xsyon and rift at everything?seriously...those games fail...
Ya know, many RTS games are allow people to build forts or bases and defend them with npcs you create. There's also quite a few tower defense games you can play for free at Newgrounds.
Maybe try Tribes 1/2 Renegade Mod if you don't mind the visuals?

The game LOVE is absolutely based around creating and defending fortresses. You may love or hate the graphics and style, but it works ok for me. The main idea driving the game is the VERY deep and complex ai.
you build a settlement using tokens you find in the world, and based on your interactions with the 5 different AI factions you will either get presents from them ( like new tokens, blaster turrets, resources, etc.) or they will start trying to kill you and blow up your base. The AI factions can build anything the players can, and they can get pretty crazy.
I logged into the game the other night and the settlement i was a part of was getting shelled with artillery by one of the AI factions from a LONG ways away. The same faction also had a few troops in the base who put some kind of bomb or something in our base that started to erode the terrain. It was pretty wild. Not many people play the game now but I like to log in from time to time, it's just a fun little game you can play for a few minutes or a few hours.

ahmen brother..seems like it when ever a new game is about to be released...too bad shadowbane isnt around anymore..id say try that but there really isnt much out these days..most games of today is a cat turd after turd..maybe one will be a golden nugget soon
