The current state of PVP in MO

This is a very well written post by Cyde about the current pvp in MO.  I wanted to share it before it "disapeared".  It can be foind in this thread.

These days I feel less responsible for my own survival than I have for many months. As scarecrow said, while fighting in GK 90% of the time Ive died it's because of the prediction system being horrendous.



GK is probably the worst place due to the number of objects around that confuse the system - tents, buildings, walls, cliffs, stairs.



Run around a tent - the system will think youve jumped onto it, even when you can't

Run round or inside a building - the system will think you are running at the wall (what's got me my most recent deaths on my hybrid - refer to scarecrow's post where I was killed by people who couldnt even see my lootbag when I died because Id run out of the building, round it, and past a wall and was 10-20m away on my screen)

Run through a gap in the wall - system thinks youre running at the wall.

Run along a cliff edge - system will randomly think that youve jumped down it.

Run up stairs - system will think you're running below or inside them, or will just bug you somewhere to be easily picked off.



People appear under the floor 

people suddenly disappear 

people rubberband randomly for no apparent reason, and when you knock someone off their horse they sometimes fly 10 metres forward then back to where they fell

Sometimes people dont appear at all. A few nights ago when ascension were attacking SS's keep, I probably could have broken the siege by myself, as only 1 person out of the 30+ inside the keep could actually see me. In the end that one person killed me by hitting air about 10 metres away from me, lol.



If the one thing holding you back is dying to things beyond your control, dont come back."
