  I think the reality is that there are no super special awesome builds. Anything you build will likely have it's strengths, but also will be counterable by an opponent. It all depends on what the makeup of the team is that you are going against, which you won't know until you get into the match.

  Off hand, you could concentrate on interrupts on the ranger side and power-drain on the Mesmer side to keep Monks from being able to heal without necessarily killing them. All those spells take energy though and that would be the counter against you as well.

  The R/Me sucks in RolePlay, but in PvP, they're ok, it helps to have Poison Arrows and Hunter's Shot or Distracting Shot, along with Backfire and Empathy, possibly Imagined Burden would help alot for their stronger fighters so they'd be slowed if they're chasing a Monk or Elementalist.

  Rangers with enflame weapon are not bad. They can deal almost as much damage as Warriors. The only problem is that they run out of energy rather rapidly.
