How is the game at lvl 20?

Well I bought this game last week, and after some hours playing it im now lvl 11. Until now the game has been fucking boring. Ive only been killing trashmobs in every mission and every quest and even playing with friends didnt made that fun. I just wondered if the game changes much when you get to lvl 20 cause I dont wanna waste my time leveling up to kill more trashmobs. I've heard its gonna be alot of pvp, but is that only those silly arenafights that you can test out on the pvp onlyserver?

As you are intitled to your oppinion of the game, I'm sorry you feel this way. The game does get alot harder if that's what you're asking. I'm at level 16 and stuff.
Also, remember. This game does not require you to level up much, just get the skills and progress, you'll level up along the way.
There is no pvp-server, you can make a pvp-character that is level 20 & uses a pre-made template. Quests give the most xp, mobs are only for items (& even then not that much).
The goal for the "rp"-character is to collect skills to use in PvP/PvE and also unlock item bonuses, then you have runes also that increase skills/weapons/armor.
Figuring out good skill/class combos is also something to do.
So its like most if not all rpg:s out there. What class(es) are you playing with?
Probably the majority of the content is actually aimed at the lvl20 crowd. You will definitely hit 20 before you are "finished" with pve. The hi-end stuff is really challenging. Also, no, the pvp is not limited to those piddily little arenas. The Tombs/HoH tournament and GvG are vastely superior. Even some of the arenas are decent (the non-random ones).

How can anyone resist such a well thought out articulate question? At level 11 is it possible you are still in presearing Ascalon? I coulds where this would be "f***ing boring. Are you doing any missions or quest? Unlike most games in the genre, there is a storyline. (similar to a single player game) To get involved in this, you will need to do the missions.
I do have a question, what are you refering to when you say "trashmob"? Maybe you could clear up you post a bit. What are you comparing GW to?

I didnt know there was a PvP test only server. You can get into PvP at just about any point in the game.
If you dont like missions/quest/story/fast pace/kill mobs there are few other games you could give a try.
Horizons - you could just level your craft skills. You dont need to get involved in anything.
The Saga of Ryzom - no story, no levels, no loot, just animals to kill for the most part and you are free to develope you charactor however you want! Some really nice graphics to!
Sounds like one of these games may be better suited to your play style.
game takes an interesting turn at 20....get to compete in the Hall of Heroes........get into guild warfare....and the missions become extremely more difficult....if Arenanet needs to remedy anything, it's the newb zone (lvls 1-10).....cause it picks up at the end game

im not level 20 yet , but i already saw snow and paradize looking green ...
this game is beautifull looking , and very good to meet and play with others ..
leveling your selfe to 20 will not make you a hero ..

Thrashmob= stupid mobs just standing in your way to make you use time. These are not like those in other mmos. During a mission it feels like you have to do the same pull over and over again. (the pulls is no big difference form eachothers) Allso all the mobs respawn every time you enter a new instance (something i find realy anoying)
Its boring compared to actually every mmo i've played (Planetside, lineage 2, wow, daoc)
Well i quited l2 because I got bored of killing 10000000 mobs to level up. In this game i have to kill 1000000 mobs as well only that these are just "trashmobs" that drops trash, gives no exp and its no fun to kill. (Perhaps thats just my opinion)
