Best Simulation/Strategy Game?

ItilosItilos Member CommonPosts: 39

As I'm awaiting Dragon Age 2's release on  March 8th (I was overall pleased by the demo), I'm looking for some other game to tie me over as Face of Mankind just isn't cutting it anymore.

I really want to try a Simulation or Strategy game (for PC or Xbox 360), but am unsure what would be a good choice.

I've played many RTSes and such, so I am not new to that genre, but haven't played many recently as I've been into MMO's and RPG's.

So, I need some idears on some good Sim/Strategy games to get.

tl;dr: What're the top strategy or simulation games that you've ever played?

Gratzi.

Played: EQ1, EQ2, WoW, WAR, EVE, LotRO, AoC, RoM, FoM, CoX, PotBS, GW, SWG, VG, PS, and others.

Try R.U.S.E its very good strategy game for me even if the settings is on world war2. If you have a touch screen monitor its even better because of it touch game capability. You can actually drag your units with a touch of a finger. Its really cool.

You should check out some videos for Dawn of Discovery (ANNO 1404) and Knights of Honor which is an older but very fun RTS that reminds me of the Total War games.

Anno 1404 for the pure music nirvana.

Starcraft2 if you want 'buy this and play for at least 15 years' multi. Can't go wrong for bang-for-buck. Starcraft1 is how old and still you'll find millions of players online.
