The client is downloadable now.  I could only load the launcher last night.

    I've uninstalled the beta, downloaded the client, installed it and patched it. You can actually log in after patching to see the empty server list. I was hoping I could sneak in and get an extra early head start. :-)

    It's a hella long download and patch. Make sure you do it ahead of time so you don't have to wait when headstart goes live.

    I don't think so.  On cable, I managed all 8 Gb in under an hour.  And that's no bells or whistles.  I DID do it yesterday (which MAY make a difference)
