never played elder scrolls, but i would never judge a game by its trailers. warhammer trailers were awesome, the game not so much.
Well, I'm certainly no benchmark to go from but as a point of note, I played Morrowind for over 2 years and I'm still avidly playing Oblivion.
For me it is simply the best role playing game around. With quest/adventure mods and some of the armor/weapon mods I can continue playing with all sorts of characters with all sorts of motivations.
If Morrowind/Oblvion are anything to go from I will be playing this for years to come.
Like Skyrim? Need more content? Try my Skyrim mod "Godfred's Tomb."

Yeah, I need to agree wit the other guy who quoted you, if you like RPGs at all you really should try Morrowind/Oblivion/Skyrim(when released). There are amazing games, and once you finish the game bethesda gives tons of support to modders who personally make content better than what you see in game sometimes (pc only)
Its worth the tons of hours you will spend in these games.
Warhammer trailers, much like SWTORS are made by Blur, who have nothing to do with the actual game that they are making the trailers for, which is why they are so awesome. They also showed no in game footage and instead relied on CGI. This trailer is, or at least looks, completely in game with actual game play shots.
Also I trust Bethesda, they are probably one of the best designers when it comes to creating a game world that feels alive and real, and one that you can interact with on an extremely high level.

So far ingame trailers made by Bethesda sindsElder scoll III: Morrowind where awesome and games where also awesome plus Skyrim is in developemnt for many many years 5 years now and with budget Bethesda have believe me they won't screw up there first and only RPG series.
Ingame footage in this trailer is actuall ingame grafhics and it looks awesome!
Morrowind still my favorite:)
Games played:AC1-Darktide'99-2000-AC2-Darktide/dawnsong2003-2005,Lineage2-2005-2006 and now Darkfall-2009..... In between WoW few months AoC few months and some f2p also all very short few weeks.

i stand corrected. i enjoy a good RPG, will give elder scrolls and bethesda a try

if urgent do it yourself if you have time-delegate it if you have forever-form a committee
I love it how the re-used the Morrowind theme with a choir!
Looks great. I always liked the Bethesda RPGs with their open world and weeks of exploration. I vividly recally Daggerfall, first time I saw a really big open world and real cities with people walking in it, and not those mere symbolic cities as in games before.
Looks great. Only... dragons = evil again. I like Dragons, dont kill! *sob* :I

My only hope is that Bethesda will finally change the advancement system forcing you to make actual choices instead of being able to level up perfectly and get everything to 100 with x5 mods for every attribute every level.
In addition to that I wouldn't mind if there was a bit more connection to NPCs in the world. I'm not talking bioware-style romantic companions that follow you everywhere. But it would be nice if the NPCs you faced were a bit more memorable. You know characters from whom you get to learn their life story, help them out on a few quests, get them to form an opinion about you that's not simply based on the persuasion mini-game.
Simply a few major recurring characters that get their dialogue updated based on your actions, offer a few unique quests if you've proven yourself honorable, cunning, strong etc. ( not based on disposition, attributes or skills but choices you made in previous quests. )

This trailer confirms that the first thing I want to do when I get Skyrim is go out into the woods and start hunting with a bow and arrow. Not monster hunting, deer hunting.
A lot of the textures look like garbage and I wish we'd seen an actual dragon fight, not a scripted animated cinematic thing, but the music and sound effects seemed great. Let's hope this game isn't a flash in the pan like Oblivion. All swords, no substance.

can wait to play it... will be awsome
I cannot wait. I'm still playing Oblivion, i believe i'll be playing Skyrim for years too. Elder Scroll is the greatest RPG franchise of all time.

Yup, this trailer is pure awesome, I was really just breathless when the iconic music started to kick in.
Can't wait, though I expect mods to again make up a large part of the game.

awesome!
I'm a game developer, and I definitely can tell the difference between CGI and scripted events.
this is 50% CGI (the parts where they're zoomed only on the dragon, as well as the stone wall) and the rest is in game.
Yeah, the graphics will be THAT good.
Looks amazing!

I don't know why I do this to myself, watching these trailers is torture, 11-11-11 is TOO FAR AWAY!! >:(
Whenever I watch something for a game I can't wait for, it makes me want to freeze myself and end up king of the future otter overlords.
This.
And it looks even better than I had ever expected. DAMN, Bethesda rocks my world every time!
