The Mortal Online team has let us know that a new two week free trial is being offered to interested players beginning today. The trial sign up does not require any payment information to be collected. Trial players have some limitations on their character progression with a skill cap of 60.
Starting today, Thursday Feb. 24th 2011 Mortal Online offers a free trial for the game. Simply create an account and participate in the game for 14 days. No credit card information is required to set up the trial!
Trial accounts are restricted to 600 skill points and the maximum for all skills is capped at 60. Trial players new to the game should take a look at the Character Creation Tutorial Video in the multimedia section. The video was created by the Mortal Online Community and offers helpful insight for new players.

Is the game still first-person view, only? If so, pass. This is MMORPG.com, not MMOFPS.com. It's damn-near impossible to get that RPG-vibe when you can't even see your avatar.

You're right, seeing through the eyes of your character breaks my immersion, too.

Ummm.. RPGs in 1st person view have been around since before FPS. Eye of the Beholder, Might & Magic series, Phantasy Star I (back on the Sega Master System) just to name a few.
I've always played in First Person whenever possible.
I think some people are just pissed that they can't stare at their female avatar's ass

Great! Finally gamers can try it out and really see the improved, awesome game! Compare it to beta, and it might be Mortal Online 2 as some stated it some time ago!

10+ Hours of download using their launcher
Maybe 1hour of gameplay , mostly just reading the help window that poops up and THEN constant crashes , fatal errors , getting stuck whit the message U ARE ALREADY LOGGED IN TRY AGAIN LATER ye... to bad ...i would of loved to see how well the game has improved since *EVERYONE* keeps saying its awesome now , no thanks , il check back in 1 year.
Sorry if i sound to rude but this stuff should of been fixed , i remember people complainning about the same issues i had about what 6-8 months ago?
