I was wondering, hows the population on the game looking? Ive thought about playing it and would like to at least pick a good populated server, as for pve/pvp ill prob start on the something thats more pve until I get the basics down on the class mechanics than move to a pvp server to play, course that may not happen too depending how much I like the pve side, as I do like world pvp, but rarely just do that for a few hours. Just thought id ask for some input on this game., as its always interested me when ive seen or heard about it. I am going to play the trial either way to get a full idea of whether ill like it, but I like reading opinions from others as well, tends to shed light on something I might miss while playing a trial.

All 10 ywain servers are like one big cluster, so choose either one and pick a realm. The PvE and RvR are basically on the same server but you can pve safely as the rvr is in different zones.
If you do get on use the /advice channel if you need help as there may not be too many low level players about in your zones.
Many players leave and come back to DAOC as they cant get the same RvR fix anywhere else but the population is quite low at the moment and RvR action is sometimes scarce (european mornings for instance)
However, when it does kick off and there are 100/150 players battling it out it can be great fun.
Not for the faint hearted or easymode players.

ty for the reply, I did start a character last night and played for abit, made a banshee as their aoe abilites sounded abit more interesting to me than most classes. I got a few levels and actually had to say that I enjoyed the game alot. While the age of the game shows it by no means takes away from it either, still a few things I need to get used too, but meh thats what playing a new game is about right? I am on the co-op server atm, but I will prob roll a toon on one of the cluster servers you mentioned later on as I would live to try out the RvR stuff.
