It is pure PVP? No PVE elements in there? For example, in DCUO, you could find HP barrels or poision barrels, you would break them to get the effects.

BGs can't get much simpler than this. Zerg the healer! He did seem to pick up a health powerup from the ground at one point.
That reminds me more of the olympiad in L2, rather than a BG really.
That was a healing mote. Mystics are able to place them (and mp motes) on the ground for their party to pick up when needed. It's how they primarily heal, and it is pretty unique.
