I should be getting Guild Wars in the next day or two, any tips for someone just starting out in the game?

if you don't already have a friend that plays make one the whole thing goes much smoother with a friend or two

Don't you worry little buddy. You're dealing with a man of honor. However, honor requires a higher percentage of profit

I would say RTFM, but doesn't seem anyone has time for that......(yes I did, even tho I played in every BWE)

Check the guides at various GW sites..... GW Guru seems to kick some ass..... the link is available from the GW site....

    Hmm.. Let's see..

Basically pick up everything you can, sell it unless you use it, try and get a Warrior or Elementalist as a main or high character since they're easier to make money with and start off as.

Personally, I know tons of friends from school who play Guild Wars, but I play alone with henchman since they follow you rather than going balistic and doing anything they want, which normal people would do, but that's how I like it, I'm a control freak. image

Money: Im thinking going alone & using AoE skills to kill lots of weak monsters fast for making money? (Othervise please tell since im a ele/mes & need to use henchmen for protection). (Henchmen get there own drops so you dont get alot of stuff if you bring along henchmen, it doesnt show what items henchmen get to prevent anger from players).

I have now started to use only range-attacking henchmen, im in a jungle area where monsters pop-up if you rush in to attack the first wave of monsters.

Also most people I team with dont understand pulling (get your aggro circle/attack on one type of monster then run back, most times different race monsters dont help each other), with henchmen I can do this. Rushing into the first group of monsters will make your/henchmen circle/radar go into monsters standing around so its better to drag one group away from others.
Good practice for this is when you need to go to "Ascalon settlement" later in the game.

Dye Vial and Crafting material are worth way too much after searing. Try to keep them if you can while you're grinding you way around Ascalon before the big something .::::39::
