I'm in the process of down loading the game from the patcher. For some reason I can't get a higher speed than 222KB/s.. This is killing me. Did anyone else expereince this and if so is there anything I can do to maxamize the speed. This is highly annoying..
I actually turned my firewall off and am in the correct region. I have no idea why I am DLing so slow. I was hoping to play this evening but there is no way possible at the slowness of the patcher.. So frustrating. I guess I'll just give it a shot in the morning.
Zor go to the official forum , after a reboot , how much of the 8 gb are you at . or is it the update patch (so game is installed)
Then do a reboot and try again , even with firewall off the damn antivirus cause a problem with my first update .
IT simply refused to download . till i turned the whole internet security off . after a reboot.
Well, I am dowloading the game. I'm at 1.8 GB right now. I have tried rebooting. It hasn't really done anything. I'll see if I can do something else... Grrr..
Download finished, but it took a while. I wasn't able to get anything passed 240KB/s... oh well. It took 12 hours and now I'm playing.. Love it..

Yup, I was a little upset, but it was well worth the wait. I tried everything to get something faster than 240KB/s... Nothing worked. So I waited. The speed was consistent but it wouldn't max any higher than that. So yeah, it took 12 hours to download. It finished at like 5AM.. I woke up at 6AM to get my hands wet. I leveld a toon to level 10 in about 4 hours and enjoyed myself. I'm going to role a new toon here in a bit to see if I like the mages...

I got a 1.5 meg download for the basic game , are you setting on the region you suppose to play ?
For example you are in EU but want to play in US
Or vice versa , then stop it , and just download regionally , you can still change the setting later on .

The other issue is maybe firewall related or windows 7 related did you run it on admin right ?
Thats most important for windows 7 , that its run in compatibility the admin right on .

Go to tech forum or ask for a direct download , since its the official game they already found workaround for slow download .
I didn´t experience that problem , but others has posted a solution for that one .
Cause 222kb is going to take forever so download it from the tech forum site , post a official support if you need too .
They should get to you asap with a direct link for that patch .
