Well IMHO this sounds pretty cool isn't it?!
What was your reaction when 1st read that guys and how do you feel now when you are actually playing the game?

That they should change the slogan to: "It's a small world after all..."
Just pokin' fun. Rift is a pretty good game. Just not enough for me to pay full box price.

Meh. To be honest I haven't been in Azeroth in several years. However there was nothing that made me think I was in some place called Telara. It's just meh for me.

since Rift's world is much smaller it is a start I think.
Very very close to Azeroth. They even removed the Collision detection in PVP....
And still 9.3/10 is the best score I've seen so far...it is amazing but lets wait for couple of days and see where does it goes and I hope only guys who are playing the game will give their score.
It just confirmed their marketing people are aggresive and cheesy.
It also confirmed that they were indeed going after WoW's primary target audience and when you try to go head to head with WoW, you lose.
Of course you will loose VS WoW but it worths the try. If even small amount of people buy the game they might love it but who knowes...different people different tastes.
What I honestly thought?
Finally a company not scared to try and compete and call out Blizzard. No company up until
now has really tossed a gauntlet and said "let's see who can put out the best material"
Noone is saying they have to destroy each other, but in a stale NA/EU market it is nice
to see.
Since we all know how well collision detection worked in WAR.
I have probably been at the launch of most MMOs in the past 6 years, and have to say that this is the most complete, bug free game that has been released to date at launch.
Content has nearly all seen before, but as we know its a winning remedy, look at it as wow2 - updated graphics, some interesting rift concepts. And truly believe it has the potential to go far given the chance - just need people to understand that it will not have as much initial content as long running games... yet. Think what six years, and a bizzilion dollars a year could do for it

lol I never understand all the people that bash WoW's graphics.
Just because theyre "cartoony" does not mean they are not impressive.
WoW's graphics are damn good and have always gotten better over time. Minor patches that update graphics, every expansion, you have to be blind to be ignorant of its beauty.
Just fyi i no longer play WoW, since about a month or two i think. ;p Love cataclsym, just done playin it. Which is why i cant play Rift.

I'm in both places, actually. Comparing the world of Rift to the World of Azeroth is like comparing Six Flags to Walt Disney World. Rift is fun, but if you think the world itself is just as good a Azeroth, you're really deluding yourself.
