You mean the guy below the OP? He just asked a question. Lets not always assume that questions asked have an interior motive behind them, it promotes a very unwelcome forum discussion.

Honestly, if your bank account runs dry because of the cash shop, it means you should not be entitled in RL to have a bank account anyway.
OP also ommitted to say that Rift costs 50$ upfront, and that the community is really awful.

I really like LOTRO and will leave it on my hardrive. Rift is a blast too and I will be playing that for at least 7 months (free month and the 6 months for which I subscribed) while still visiting LOTRO in between RIFT and Xsyon. Yeah i paid RIFT's pre-order box price ...but I also paid for the LOTRO Shadows of Angmar as well as each expansion. (Remember LOTRO wasn't always "F2P").
As far as community...they're all the same imo. I guess some people ....out of the wall of text that most new launch chatboxes contain..only see the few negatives or asshat posts. That's why there's an "ignore" command. Like a game or hate a game..... but the community excuse as to why one likes or hates a specific game over another is imo...bullshit.. Every game I've played...from themepark PVE to Sandbox PVP and all points in between..have generally had the same mixed population type. The higher the pop the more chance for a bad encounter or a good encounter. Doesn't really make a difference except what YOU ,as an individual, cling to the most.....which usually amounts to whether you were befriended or fucked over.
