Revised Quicky Beginner's Guide

When you go to the movies do you enjoy the wait in line? 

Do savor queuing for Junior Mints? 

Do you wait in anticipation for the perfume and car commercials before the movie?

You might have when you were 6 years old, but anyone here has been there done that many times.

This guide is for people who have read story lines, done busy work "quests" and want to get to the heart of MMO which is PvP or instanced PvE.

This guide is for people who have lives, are in school or work.  This guide is for people who are focused and goal oriented.

If you have time and inclination to "immerse yourself in a rich fantasy world" skip this thread.

If you like jumping through the hoops that developers make...THEN IGNORE THIS THREAD.

1.  Roll a toon, any toon.  Defiants can get out of the starting area faster than Guardians, but Guardians have a easier second area to navigate.

2.  Start hitting the RIFTS asap.  Get the blues and purps from the Rare Planar Goods seller.  This is the most important advise you will get in this game.

3.  By level 8 you should have your blues from the RIFTS.  . Now start farming your mats for your skills.  This is key. 

4.  By level 10 get to your main city and pick up your PvP quests and your crafting dailies.  The dailies are actually worth doing.

5.  Start Qing for Black Garden while you farm more mats. 

6.  At level 13 start killing level 15+ mobs for the next level of mats.  I like Runecrafter/Outfitter/Butcher.  Immediate results from these skills.

7.  By 15 you can start going to your local instance if that is your bag or stay in Q for Black Garden.

8.  Artifacts give coins to buy companions. They will match your Hello Kitty backpack.

9.  Rep with the crafters and PvP seems to give some decent rewards. 

10.  Enjoy the meat of the game and avoid the fill.
