I like Rift, I enjoy it.
If you don't like Rift thats fine to, but trying to convince people its bad is funny.
Go to the game you like and post on your forums about how wondeful your game is and stop posting slander here.
Rift is not ground breaking, but its fun and has a lot of people enjoy it.
If you put as much effort into making your game better with ideas then you do trying to tell people Rift is bad, you would not see Rift as a threat.
So in closing, stop being a baddie and go home.

They increased moderation on these forums for a reason. There are a lot of people who hate
this game with a passion who post here and they do get infractions when it is blatant trolling.
If they keep it constructive they can say whatever they want. It is nice to have a site where you can argue constructively. If every single post all of a sudden was 100% positive I would get suspicious.
despite the fact i am getting sick and bored of these hotbar mmorpgs.
i am having alot of fun with Rift and Trion seems to do a great job.
Yeah honestly right around level 10 I was feeling like "Oh brother its like a better graphics version of WoW". When you start doing rifts and pvp that's where it's obvious rift is a good game. The pvp is fast and fluid and the complaints really come down to tweaks. The rifts are fun, but also need to be tweaked up.
The conversation has changed from "it'll be an epic fail" to "well it'll be crappy in 6 months". The true test for rift will be how the end game does with more hardcore of the casual spectrum. If the end game is interesting and in depth we're looking at a very solid game.

They are definitely taking feedback from top pve guilds and adjusting the end game. The last
two patches in two days have been to make expert instances harder.
IMHO every thing that I have experianced in game so far, is superior to that other game. Every time that I have played, something ingame has brought a smile to my face. I know it will get old one day, everything does.

Every forum you go to there will be players that belly ache about everything. This is what they do and it will never end.
Rift is a solid game with plenty of things to do. I happen to be one of those rare players that likes all the little quests that have you runing there, gathering that,... To me that is a great way to get a feel of the game, my character, and use to the interface. The rifts themselves are enjoyable and there are events happening all the time to keep everyone busy. I have yet to explore the crafting and gathering part of the game but I will get to that.
Rift is a game everyone can play because of its simplistic nature and ability to run on may computers. I really enjoy how you can build your character, the soul trees are fantastic and offer an array of choices on how to shape your character.
I am with you, I like Rift and it does seem like in the early going here Trion got it right and that is what 's appealing to many.
Rifts quest are just so different from WoW's quest. Like when leveling WoW you just pick up a bunch and care less about the quest because it is so high fantasy and made up lore you will not remember.
Rift's quest line appeals to a Tolken style. A lot of their quest and yes I have been reading every single one are ..we are outnumbered and need to reduce their forces..ok now that is done we need more information go gather this item...we are making a weapon go gather this
The storyline in Silvermoon and Gloomwood is about as good as it gets in an MMO. Gloomwood with the werewolf plague and you have to end up defeating the hag who was a minion of Regulos.
One of the quest in Gloomwood you had to go set people houses on fire and kill them as they came out transformed into werewolves, but it was needed because they were plague carriers.
I dont like Rift and I dont enjoy it.
