WOW fanbois trying to compare wow to Rifts!

Yup, you heard it! To me WOW is like getting kicked in the groin and you thanking the person who did it. Rift is so much more than WOW. The scary thought is RIFT is just recently released! What makes it dominating is the fact its a better out of the box game than any game on the market. Even with those other games mass expansions!

    I think your post needs to be put into perspective.

    WoW has been around for years. It has years worth of content/systems, huge amount of money backing it and very loyal players who are there to play wow, not there to necessarily be mmo players.

    Rift just launched.

    A successful launch, true (and I do find it fun) but it needs to weather several months and retain a large core group of players to even start kicking anyone in the groin.

    This might happen or it might not.

    Interesting title.  All I see is you comparing Rift to Wow.

    I recently was thinking about MMO's and how they have expanded. We all (even me) compair anything new to WoW. We all like to sya how this game or that game will become the new king.

     

     But MMO's are like the car market (the easiest thing i can compair to) We all know what brands are out there. What is good & bad. Now there is a new car about to be released Tesla for instance. The reality is that electric cars are going to be great. But they are not going to make Ford, Chevey or any other car maker close there doors.

     

     SO guess what. Rift, SW:ToR or even GW2. While i look forward to them all, and i feel that they will be the heavy hitters of the market. They are not going to be closing any doors (to the major games mentioned) They will have people that are loyal to their brand and people will go back and forth between products. And at the end of the day we will all be winners.
