Any Warrior Souls that can heal?

meleemadnessmeleemadness Member Posts: 592

I understand a warriors role is not healing but are there some souls that have the ability to do some minor self healing?

Most sites are blocked and I only have access to this one or I would check out the various soul calculators....

Check out Reavers who can heal by damaging their target.

As was mentioned, Reavers have some healing. My reavers soul has an ability that heals me over time for 50% of the damage it does to the target.

Also, my paladin soul has a pretty powerful "full health" heal but it is on a long timer.

Paladin gets a full heal that's on a 10min CD..

Heals the Warrior completely. This ability is not affected by the global cooldown.

Requires: 8 Points Spent in Paladin

    Requires: Level 8

Void Nights get Fusion of Flesh..

Unleashes all Pacts, healing 30 per Pact unleashed.

Requires: 26 Points Spent in Void Knight

    Requires: Level 26

Hmm, I know beastmasters heal some way too...

That full heal has saved my Paladin countless times. :) Really really useful ability. Also just the incredible damage soak/blocking helps a lot too.

If you want a melee with "reliable" healing, try a Justicar.  Not a warrior, but very warrior like with lots of self healing, some group healing and decent damage for a cleric.

The majority of the warrior type healing is either on very long refresh timers or the amount is so small, it's only slightly helpful.

Reaver frigging dominates at self healing. If you screw it up, you'll take more damage than say .. a paladin but if you do it right, (this was in beta) you take very little damage overall.

Combine that with paladin talents to increase block and going deep enough on the paladin tree to get Touch of Life (that's the 10 min full self heal), Reaver's 3 min Master of the Abyss (which is a full heal if you're fighting enough mobs when you use it) and it's a very very durable warrior.

    I liked Reaver/Paladin/VK-or-Beastmaster better than Paladin/Reaver/*

When I was reading your post I was thinking Paladin/Reaver would be kick*ss but then  I read on and you suggest beastmaster or VK.  i was thinking VK but why do you recommend Beastmaster?  (btw, i do like beastmaster!)

The only thing I can think of is for the 5%+ hit.  Even then, it doesn't seem like a good fit with paladin/reaver.  If your going to get Soul Feast in the Reaver soul, I would strongly suggest getting Plague Bringer as well if you're looking for more helaing since PB can spread Soul Sickness, of which 50% of its damage heals you with SF, to up to 5 additional enemies.  More enemies with SS=more heals for you.

Is a man not entitled to the herp of his derp?

Remember, I live in a world where juggalos and yugioh players are real things.

Hmm, can anyone break out what soul is in what catagory?

I think that Beastmaster and Champion are in the DPS section, while Reaver and Pally are tanks?  What are the other catagories the remaining souls would fall under?

I'm just reiterating what has already been said. I'm completely new to this game, didn't play in the beta and started with Reaver/Paladin/Warlord, from what i'v seen/experienced if you want a class that can tank bosses, cause decent damage and tank a lot of enemies solo or grouped then this should be your choice.

To be fair i haven't focused on any other souls, mainly those 3 and further more most points are in reaver spec. I have the paladin full heal which as mentioned saves your bacon a bunch of times!

An example of solo healing is i can mob about 4-6 enemies of the same level and using my AOE attack damage them whilst recooping 150% of the damage done as hp. So my HP stays pretty high when fighting, then i have another skill that causes an enemy who has died to heal 9% of my max HP. If thats not enough there is a 2 minute cool down skill called Master of the Abyss which can heal a lot depending on how many mobs it hits. I am level 27 at the moment, i think you can get all those skills to do that at about 25.

Rifts? In rifts i most of the time come top by mobbing all the enemies together and doing what i described above. This becomes tricky if you have a number of elites of course, but you ususally have a few players helping so it works out!

This is the build im using which i found recommended by someone on a different website:

    Riftblade - DPS/CC (Battle mage)

Warlord - Buffbot  (not a great soul, but some nifty group buffs)

Void Knight - Anti Magic - Mana drainer, gets nice buffs if targetted by magical attacks

    Paragon - DPS/Dual Wield.

As I was only levelling, I didn't want to spread points to 3 trees so I had two similar builds.. One with focusing on Reaver/Paladin and switching between bst and vk as I saw fit. Bst was for questing mostly an auto attacking pet. VK was for the baseline self buff. / The other version had 2 points in BST so it got it's finisher and wasn't just sitting on 3 AP the whole time lol.

    I wouldn't take Reaver/Beast into an instance though lol^^.
