Just when you thought it's all been done...

Shooting Bambi from PC Bad Idea
So says PCMag.com's Lance Ulanoff. He's taken a close look at the latest wacky Internet idea--shoot live animals via a browser/console on your PC. Think it's a joke? Check out his story and then go see for yourself. Controlling guns via TCP-IP doesn't sound too good to me either. Could hunting replace surfing as the dominant Internet activity?

My mom was telling me about that when I was discussing with her the game where you imitate the Kennedy assassination.
I think its actually a very cool idea.

This has been around for more than a year. Several states have already passed legislation banning the practice with the backing and support of the sporting clubs. The biggest reason why they are stopping this is because the hunting isn't very sportsman-like.

Besides, it's not like this is a step forward for the human-race either.

Lots of things arent steps for the human race. People could argue that videogames arent a step for the human race (but they'd probably get pwnt by computer-controlled guns)

    i wouldnt do it.

however the military aplications of this are very very very scary.

Snipers without a conscience that are half way across the world.

I take the gundam wing philosophy against mobile dolls.

if people dont die in war(mind you im not a big fan of death), then countries will always be warring.

and if their soldiers arent dying the civilian casualties will never end.

this is a step in the wrong direction.

we are sticking our own foot up our own asses and wont feel the pain for a long time.

Honestly, if the applications for this have been around a lot longer than the past 2 years. The fact that people are doing this to poach animals makes me quite angry. I'm not a tree hugger per-say, but I do have my qualms about people driving 4 blocks just to grab some food.

So, this little application can be burned, and shunned by the Rifle Associations all over the world, I would give a few bucks for people to hunt down these stations and demolish them.
