est release 2011?

lectrocudalectrocuda Member Posts: 604

Is that NA or is that in asialand?  If this game were to come out in 2011, I think it could have some serious implications on some other games due out on or about that time scale.

However I dont care. I love options, and I will play whatever game is funnest, therefore whomever makes the funnest game, deserves what they get, as does those who are in it for a quick buck.....

Judging by their website (the english part) it seems to be in early development or it could simply be that they are not putting much effort on their website, again I am talking about the english part.

In any case I would be surprised if this game was released, in west, in 2011. For Korea? Maybe...

ArcheAge is schedule to release at the end of 2011 in Korea, but I'm pretty sure it will be delayed. As for NA release, god knows when.

As for the website, if you use google chrome, you can always go to their korean website http://www.archeage.com/

It has much more detail. At least their English website is more detailed then Blade and Soul lol

CB2 is going in KR. It is going pretty well as far as the EU reviewers are saying. About release only god knowes when but I think at the end of 2011 it will be in OB or release state in KR.

Apparently, they don't even have a publisher lined up for North America or the European Union yet so I can't see it being anytime in 2011. I think this is the target date for South Korea and then the rest of us follow shortly afterwards. Although I should imagine this date might possibly slip.

The one piece of good news is that they have said that NA and the EU are core target areas for them so I should imagine the ball is rolling to sort something out.

IMO 5-6 months after KR release will have EU or NA servers. Hope they will not rush the start since I expect something polished and I suppose it is not only me.

Then we are talking mid 2012 which I would say is a fair estimate for a launch in West.

Exactly. I think that this is the best descision.

It's almost sure that we gonna have a maximum Q2 of 2012 EU/US release. And at Korea Q4 of 2011 or Q1 of 2012.

Sandbox MMORPGs that are not very well-known but definitely worth a look:

Ryzom, Haven and Hearth, Xsyon, The Repopulation, UO private shards, Mortal Online, Darkfall 1 remakes (New Dawn or Rise of Agon), RPG MO, Project Gorgon, EQ: Sanctuary (custom  server)

Wasn't there something like a year between the Korean and the western release of Aion, the same gap of time between the Japanese and the American release of FFXI?

4-6 months between Korean and western release of ArcheAge seems a bit short seen in that light.

Exactly my thoughts. Tera is going the same way as Aion, so I think a year is the standard delay between Korea and west releases.

ArchAge open beta have been stated on November 2012 in Korea if nothing has changed, so I expect a Q4 2012 west release at best. Maybe Q1 2013

yes indeed. They already confirmed a release in the west but are not focussing on it at all atm. Korea and Japan are the first markets I thought. The game has been in closed beta for over a year now but the game is still far from finished. Well the game might be filled and good already but luckily ArcheAge's creator is a perfectionist and has a clean vision! What Jake wants, we as players want.... imo that is major plus.

ArcheAge open beta is scheduled for November 2011, not  2012.

Right now, they're about to enter into closed beta 3.

Uh, there is almost no information about the game on their web site (at least in the English section). No information about skills, what is available in game as crafting (yes, ships, houses appears to be there, but no details about them. What are the sizes, or will there be a single size, decoration? armors? skills?) It can be a flop even

Yeah sorry, I meant 2011. Although my point still stands. Expect a western release 1 year after Korean release, so Q4 2012 Q1 2013.

Its been stated that their targeted audience is NA & EU, so I'm holding out hope that we could see this release within 3-6 months after the Korean release.  We still have 8 months to go until their projected November Open Beta, so there's still a decent amount of time to shop/hook up with a western publisher.  The timeframe between OB and release will depend on the feedback they get during Closed & Open Betas and how many changes or improvements need to be made.

One comment stood out - they want the release to be well executed and meet players' expectations.
