Reaver/paladin both combos will give you healing abilities, good for soloing, pvp and pretty much everything. Paladin has a ability that will restore health to full and the reaver will heal you over time. The more damage you do witht he reaver, the more heals you get. Right now the Champion appears to be the soul that is pulling the most damage at level 50. I haven't tried all the souls though.

Unless if it's changed since beta, you cannot rely on that instant heal from the paladin. The cooldown puts paid to that.
I found the healing you got from block was far more reliable. By level 30 I could happily solo elite rift spawn groups and make it out alive.
yeah, the instant heal has a cooldown but can save you from dying in an emergency. i mostly use that heal in pvp though
Good info on Pally and Reaver. It is relatively easy to find info on those two classes as well as void knight and some champion info. I rarely see anything on Beast Master or Warlord though.
I was hoping to do BM/Champ/WL for PvE while duoing with my wife who will roll a Ranger/Bard/MM.
I hate being out here in the middle of no where........
i thought the Riftblade was a magic daamge focused dealer with range, and the VK was the soul that used the enemy's mana to kill them.
Warlords work more like a buff/debuffer. they take enemy armor and apply it to themselves, but they also have the ability to boost damage done to a target, and healing to themselves.
riftblade - Magic based DPS/Utility warrior. Early on most of your high dmg bread and butter skills are ranged but when you hit endgame only your melee abilties will scale with gear so they will arguably be stronger. Lot of AoE damage and a lot of CC, plus an anti-cc+charge.
paladin - defensive tank, better for single target tanking. tanking abilities relies on health return from blocks or counters as well as some absorption shield buffs.
reaver - offensive tank, better for tanking multiple creatures at once. tanking ability comes from dmg redution buffs combined with aoe "health stealing" dots.
champion - 2 handed spike dmg. all damaging attacks are melee, but you can close the distance every 30 seconds or so with a charge that stuns/roots and a cc break with a 30s timer. bulk of the dmg comes from buffed critical hits, so you can expect that if you dont crit the dmg will be kinda "meh." in the current metagame, champ primaries are most likely going to be the dominant build at lvl 50.
paragon - dual wield dps class. dominant themes in the tree are the ability to deal immense amounts of reflective damage through parrying attacks and placing buffs on attacks for certain amount of time.
beastmaster - pet class, kinda broken because the pet does horrid amounts of damage even when buffed. if anyone wants to disagree go ahead b/c personally i cannot get this class to work up to the same standard as the others.
voidknight/warlord - havent tried them yet.
