Hi Rift Community!!! What Now? What dirrection do you want Trion to go in? What features do you want them to work on now?
I want a PvP zone with Naval and Land combat sync together and with large scale Events between the 2 playable factions and the 3rd NPC faction all going at each other.
What you all want next?

Two words = More Dynamic.
The rifts offer alot of potential. Their potential becomes more profound if the consequences for failing to stop them becomes more profound.
For example. I play Defiant. We've lost a good number of invasions in freemarch, but, in the end, they have no major effect on the game.
I would reccomend the following for losing an invasion:
The open rifts start spitting out [lvl range +10] epic monsters that clear out any resistance. All graveyards in that area shutdown, and the region populates with that type of rift mob. Anyone who dies gets shunted out to a default graveyard (say the Anchor for Defiant for freemarch players). The players then have to re-take the zone and shut down all the rifts in that zone.
So long, and thanks for all the fish!
More starting zones, player housing, guild housing. As stated above, repurcussions in the dynamic content. Oh, and better auction house.
I like that idea. I am looking forward to authenticators. One guy brought up an idea of when Rift invasions establish footholds that the footholds actually upgrade the longer they are there.
Sea invasions could easily be worked into the game especially with the Moonshade storyline.
For now just a small thing...
More diversity in armor/appearance.
Everyone looking alike and having a same overall appearance even in both factions makes me nuts.
Then again I've been known to be a bit OCD, so...
I have not played Rift but what I would like to see is a deep crafting system to the likes of SWG before I purchase the game. Many other people are talking about how such an implementation would make Rift a better game. I played SWG from launch for about 5 years and the crafting system is what kept me playing. Implementing SWG's crafting system is impossible because there is just not enough space in the game world for harvesters. Here is a rough idea of what I'm looking for in crafting:
Gathering:
Instead of gathering generic copper or weed a "Grade" of A, B, C is attached to each resource that reflects the Quality with possibly other stats.
Loot:
Extra components drop from random mobs with +1-10 str, agil, etc. that can be used in crafting an item. For example, you need 2 copper bars and 2 wood to make an axe; the copper bars and wood each have a Grade or Quality associated with them. There is an extra slot for a component you've looted that increases the stats of the weapon.
Crafting:
Grade or Quality affects the outcome of the item that's crafted, but that's only one part of the craft. I believe that there should be a quick craft feature which is how the game is now and the result is a Grade C (the lowest grade). However, if you want to craft something better you go through the different stages to building your unique item:
Stage 1: Preparation
Acquiring specific buffs from reading books(not literally), completing a random mini-game that gives you a buff depending on your score, and crafting in a certain city that increases your chances for a higher Grade/Quality item. Dwarves for weapons, Humans for armor etc..
Stage 2: Crafting
Crafting an Axe:
2 Grade A Copper Bars with 2 Grade A wood and magic component with +8 str inserted into crafting slots. Click "Quick Craft" for Grade C item or go through a trial and error mini-game that affects the stats of the item. Customize with different Dyes and give it a name.
Other important thoughts to make Crafting worth the time:
-Make the best crafted items better than the raid-looted items by 10-30% depending on the level requirement and grade of the item.
-Crafted items can not be repaired but decay 80% slower than looted items.
-Enchants on items wear off over time.
-Give crafters the ability to salvage looted weapons and armor: Weaponsmith salvages weapons for weapon components and recieves a random Grade weapon component. The weaponsmith could have sold the weapon for 2 gold, but he salvaged the weapon and recieved a Grade C component which sells for 50 silver. The weaponsmith can use the component or sell the component.
What will this do to the game?:
It attracts soloists and loot-hunters, creates more World PvP where players of different factions want to kill certain mobs in certain areas because they drop certain components, attracts more players to the game (myself included),
I would completely agree with you.
But there are people who find the invasions disruptive and don't want them lasting.
Maybe as an event that lasts as long as the players can't defeat it.

more balance done to classes or more resist elements implemented for pvp.
a rvr zone for captureing holding wardstones. A relic in wardstones that boosts your realm ala daoc.
more warfronts to play.
more pvp quests than the daily one.
more outfits less a cool down on potions
statbuff potions lasting after death.
more recipes of worth for apothocarys
I want the game to be a Lineage 2 Clone instead of a WoW Clone.
I'd pay for an L2 clone or spiritual successor, but World of Rift? No way.
GearScore and phasing [ no, I'm not serious ]
I would LOVE player housing and more types of dynamic content.. but i am loving rift!
Remember Old School Ultima Online
I would love to see more starting areas. Perhaps one for each race. I'm sure there will be more in the future but making a new toon means repeating all the quests I have already done. I feel like I am in a hurry becuase of this to get caught up to my highest level toon. I don't mind it too much, but overall it would be wondferful to have another starting zone, but by the time it comes out I will already be high enough level where I won't have to worry about it. Perhaps in the future I can roll a different toon.
