WHAT MMORPG HAS THE MOST PLAYERS?

WHAT MMORPG HAS THE MOST PLAYERS? (excluding runescape 2)....and whatever that game is , why do so many people play it? I mean i am new to mmorpgs and they all look the same to me so i am trying to figure out which one to pick!

    I wouldn't go by largest population in choosing an MMO.  The Lineage games have the largest subscriber pool but they both suck in my opinion.  They take grinding and farming to a whole new level.

    one of my friends play lineage 2 and it really bites. Right now im thinking of Guild Wars

    I dont think anyone really knows,.And a topic like this might just turn into a flame war.

    When your in game the Population will feel the same in most of the new games.But if it was to be a number, Id have to say WOW. it seems to have the most players ATM,but dont quote me.

    I think it's one of the random korean games that has the most players. But if you were looking for american games, I'm pretty sure it's WoW still... I don't think the subscriptions have dropped off that far yet.

    Lineage ][ has 2mil subscribers  atm....mostly korean...hate teh game fs :p (grind and farmers)

    someone posted a really cool website with statistics on player populations for verying MMO's last week, I dont know how accurate it is/was but I'm sure it's worth you digging through a few forum pages for you to find.

    If I remember correctly though, the pretty graph showed it as, Lineage 1, Lineage 2, WoW, then a few others like DAoC, EQ2, SWG, EVE and all those usual suspects. But I have a bad memory, so don't hold me to that :)

    WoW has the most players for its game, but you also have to remember that you will only be playing with North American people and that they will all be split across 50+ servers

    Runescape has a very high member rating..although Classic is gay (graphics wise) and runescape (2) has up to the millions playing ...server one has 2000 people alone,almost everyday.

    Does it really matter how many people actually play a certain game. A better question would be how many 'good' players and people are playing the games. Are they fun and open to talk to others? Do they want to help out the newer people and take part in group activities? I think a friendly environment is more important then numbers...just my thoughs image

    Better ask im new to mmorpgs whats a good mmorpg for newbee player.

    WoW is massive but very easy to learn lineage2 i would not go for as starter mmorpg , guild wars is also not so hard to learn and its free to play no subscribtion.

    Everquest2 is ok but not as easy as wow.

    Ac2 is also easy to learn and lots of content now becouse of new big addon

    But also many free mmorpgs out there see in general free mogg list.

    And it depends on what you prefer fantasy or sci-fi or midevil or apocalytic world super heros settings like city of heroes?

    wel gl in finding nice mmorpg you like.

    Heres a list of games that dont need to be downloaded and they are easy and fun (not to mention free!)!image

    3.www.toontownonline.com (3 day trial)

    4.www.download.com (search for continuum) *its a Pvp space ship game...not rpg but many worlds and its totaly MMO-sorry its a download
