Will it take 5+ minutes to kill one mob?

I have played FFXI, and given your normal party setup fighting IT mobs, I don't think it took 5+minutes. Maybe I don't remember well. But either ways, it will always take 5+minutes to kill of one mob or have I not seen a video where it takes 30 seconds to kill a mob?

lol I was actually curious about this also, seems like the mobs take forever to kill in the videos.

I havent really cared or put much thought into it tho cuz the game just looks awesome.

I have never felt that I would like to live in MMO world before. So yea, no doubt there, I have not seen such a beautiful world. But I can not live in it, I will be PLAYING in it.

And this does bother ME that it will take 5+minutes to kill off a single mob.

Just now, I was watching this level 50 guy fighting, and after 5 minutes of fighting this one mob, the poor guy almost died due to the links. So it would really suck when it takes you 5 minutes to kill off one mob and when the mob is at 5% you get links and puff you are dead.

Hopefully En Masse know west doesn't like this? Hopefully I'm not alone in this ><

The videos where it takes 5+ minutes, are generally players soloing mobs which are designed to be killed by a group. Killing normal mobs takes much less time, as little as a few seconds, depending on the class and the individual monster.
